Im from Kilkee so have a great love of this little piece of paradise. Kilkee has that unique horseshoe beach and magnificant sunsets.
The Diamond Rocks Cafe sits almost on the cliff edge on the west end of the town. A statue of A statue of Richard Harris stands proudly outside displaying the great bon viveur in a racket ball pose.
The Cafe is run by Margaret and Kevin, two locals with Anna running the bust kitchen. They have just completed a major renovation adding a lot more table space. Diamond Rocks is exactly what a cafe should be in a holiday resort. The staff are well trained and very warm. Locals and visitors chat and the sound of laughter often rings throughout the place.
While enjoying top quality soups/mains and an eclectic cake menu, patrons can watch the Atlantic washing up on to the shore. Kids, pets, buggies all adorn the place and it is a great way to end a walk along the Cliffs.
If you visit Kilkee or are going to the Light house in Kilbaha don't miss this place.
