I have been to The Pantry for coffee and scones before, everything has always been really good ...but on my last visit last week I couldn't make my mind up between the crab and prawn open sandwich. The lovely lady who was making the sandwich told me she would make me a half prawn half crab. Tomatoes, lettuce and homemade pickled cucumber csme with the most amazing sandwich I gave ever tasted. The prawns were huge and fuffy..and so juicy and were piled on homemade brown malted bread and rosemary sauce. The crab was sweet and plentiful. It was a true taste of the sea and a taste of heaven for seafood lovers. The staff are amazing and will do everything to make sure you have a beautiful dining experience. Will be back for another this weekend!

Stayed over the west for a few weeks and this was a highlight in the simplest of things... the scones ... I had the Cinnamon and Fruit while the rest of the family went with the normal ones... My 13year old commented that they where the best ever .. high praise indeed .. we loved the atmosphere menu and the quality of food was obvious .. the staff where all friendly, we actually ended up talking to the staff member who was on her break and had baked the scones .. and it was nice to meet the person who made these baked delights .. thanks K

The pantry is an exceptional restaurant/coffee shop that offers a wide range of really good quality food, cakes etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The tables are quite close together and this makes moving around difficult but who cares the food is great and it is good value so well worth a visit!

Had lunch after coming off Georges Head walk, would recommend the chowder, generous portions of brown bread hit the spot, the kids had pancakes which kept the price down and my wife had a sandwich that was huge, can be very busy at peak season so you have to pick your time to go there, was tempted to have a glass of wine but now regret resisting, overall a pleasant experience.

Press button coffee. Disappointing despite the owner insisting it's as good as the real thing. Sorry but it isn't. Run of the mill coffee shop. Try their bakery and make your coffee at home.
