Pauline and jerry are the perfect hosts and have a hidden gem of a property with a stunning central location with ample parking. Pauline's breakfast was stunning I was wondering if I could bring her home with me to recreate it every morning. Jerry was a book of knowledge on the area. Just stay

Just returned from our second trip staying in the Ballyvaughan Lodge. Friendly, genuine welcome with excellent rooms and fantastic breakfast. Owners are very well informed about all aspects of the area and happy to give unbiased advice for walks, food etc. We will be back soon.

Not only is this inn located in the village of Ballyvaughan, making it a walk or short drive away from pubs, restaurants and other attractions, the proprietors are FANTASTIC hosts - friendly and hospitable. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed (we stayed in Room 9....which has a great shower in the en suite bathroom.) And for the icing on top of the cake...the breakfast was one of the best B&B breakfasts we've ever had - a selection of fruits/breads/yogurts/cheeses are provided while you wait for your hot meal made to order by Pauline and Gerry. We had the poached eggs and the scrambled eggs with salmon and they were both delicious. We only stayed one night while we passed through the area, but we'll definitely be back again!

We had a warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff throughout. Breakfast was great and the pub food ideal for hungry walkers, returning from wild Burren ways. There are a number of walks from the village or nearby.

Our hosts were very welcoming and genuinely happy to give us directions to nearby walking spots. There was a great spread for breakfast, including freshly cored pineapple, berries, granola, and a selection of cheeses. Pauline's cooking is very good.
The room was homey and well-decorated, and the windows got lots of sun in the mornings. It made our weekend getaway really lovely. Plus there is a nice big sunroom with books and a fireplace and the hosts' friendly, non-shedding fluffy dog Cocoa.
The Lodge is in close proximity to pubs and restaurants on foot. We highly recommend this place.

Side note: If you are in this area, check out Linnane's Restaurant for seafood.

Loved our stay with Gerry and Pauline. Our room was cozy, quite and comfortable with a lovely big comfortable bed and great to have tea and coffee or,hot chocolate in the room . Breakfast was excellent, lots of beautiful bowls of chopped fresh fruit to choose from, compotes, figs, dates, natural yogurt, cereals, juices, fresh bread and cheeses, along with a lovely hot cooked breakfast, toast and brown bread all with large pots of coffee and tea with lovely coloured tea cozy to make us feel even more at home!! The location was perfect right near the centre of the village but in a nice quite spot to relax for the weekend, which was just what was needed, We would definitely recommend and we will stay here again when we want an escape from it all!!

We've stayed at a lot of B&Bs but this is the best of our experience. The place is charming with so much art on the walls I could have spent hours just moving from one quirky print to the next, from one beautiful original to the next. The breakfast had wider variety than any I've had before, with fresh roses from the gardens and cloth napkins.

We enjoyed our stay so much, we ended up spending another night. It was that great.
