“Elegant and convenient”

We spent three nights in this elegant lodge. Our room (on the front) was quiet, and the light through the pale gold drapery in the morning quite exquisite. Pauline and Gerry were both hospitable and helpful. (Also, they serve excellent fresh fruit, including berries, and the best white pudding I ate during our entire trip.)

For years, my mother had spoken of her visits with Pauline & Gerry and raved about what phenomenal hosts they are. We finally made our trip there last April/May, and I cannot wait to get back to visit Ballyvaughan, the burren, and Pauline & Gerry again. The room was so comfortable, the shower was like standing under a waterfall (so soothing), and the breakfast was the best we had on our trip. Wondering what's nearby? Trying to set up a road trip? Pauline & Gerry are the masters and so eager to assist - even with a little friendly bantering about who has the best route! You cannot go wrong with a stay in their wonderful little piece of Ireland!

We absolutely loved this place and Pauline and Gerry were fabulous. The whole experience is just wonderful. It has that rare combination of feeling that you're pampered but yet still visiting great friends. They really know what they're doing and it shows in every detail. There were 5 of us and we all just raved about how great it is. Location, accomodations, food, helpful tips and directions - it all left a very warm feeling. Highly recommend!

We stayed one night in Ballyvaughan Lodge and it is certainly one of the best guest houses that we have stayed in. Location is perfect on the edge of Ballyvaughan village which is perfect for exploring the Burren area in Co. Clare. The room was really nice. Breakfast had a large selection of fresh fruit, cereals and a choice of cooked breakfasts. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. All of this came with a warm welcome from the owners. We look forward to going back.

Loved our stay here. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in Ballyvaughan. The breakfast was delicious - what a feast. Pauline and Gerry were so friendly and went to the trouble of knowing your first name which made it a lovely personal experience! The art work and little touches in the house and the bedroom were lovely. Cannot recommend a visit here highly enough! Will be back!

We've been staying at the Ballyvaughan Lodge during our trip for two nights. The place is absolutely perfect: Beautiful decorated rooms, delicious high-quality breakfast and - best of all - two very friendly hosts - dear Pauline and Gerry, thanks again (especially for getting up early to make breakfast because we needed to head to Dublin early)! We would definetely recommend to stay there!

Greetings from Berlin, Clara and Johannes
