The rooms were clean. The hosts were very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Conor (the host ) was very friendly and explained various trekking options to us. He was kind enough to drop us to the start of the walks and had immense knowledge about the area.
We got lost during one of the walks and conor was kind enough to pick us up from where ever we were and he even drove us to the supermarket. All in all this place is highly recommended.

This was an unusual trip--my boyfriend and I took my 86-year-old father, who's been described as "an adventurer in his own mind," on a long-awaited trip to Counties Clare and Galway. A charmer in many ways, my father also requires very firm beds, lactose-free milk, lots of space to spread his pills out, everything just so, laundry done every three minutes (almost!). He couldn't stop raving about the fact that Conor & Margaret had put in a bath mat and footstool in the bathroom.

Conor and Margaret handled his many requests with such aplomb and good humor, I was very much touched.

The bed and breakfast is wonderfully charming, with rooms whose beauty can be felt immediately. Realtors talk about houses going up for sale as having "curb appeal" to new buyers; I guess I would describe the guest rooms at Cappabhaile as having true "doorway appeal"!

The breakfast room is also charming and spacious, and Conor and Margaret were so lovely about our bringing home a few things from the grocery store to have a simple supper at home one evening. Conor arranged for an impromptu concert with two others of the seven brothers and his father one evening--and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Conor's eyes lit up as he described the archaeological sites nearby and the flowers of the Burren: he is a true advocate for his home region. It is centrally located and just a short distance to every site of interest in the Burren.

Elvira, on staff at the Cappabhaile House, prepared sandwiches for us when we arrived; all took our comfort and delight to heart.

We cannot recommend the Cappabhaile House more highly!

We picked this BB based on the reviews here on TA. My wife and I couldn't agree with them more! This purpose built BB is the perfect place to stay in this region. Margaret was wonderful and is a fantastic host. She has great recommendations for eating and sight seeing in this region. We will certainly stay here on our next visit.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It was our first stop in Ireland. There are so many great things to say so here I go...first of all the hosts are WONDERFUL! Conor and Margaret were some of the nicest people we met in Ireland. Conor was beyond helpful in giving us advice and where to go and what to do. Our maps and GPS were sometimes confusing so he would draw us maps and sure enough we would get to our destination without a problem. His wife was wonderful and they prepared the most delicious breakfast EVER! It was the best (and largest) out of all the B&B's we stayed at while in Ireland.

Their location is also great. It was so quiet and peaceful yet we were able to get to so many sites...Cliffs of Moher etc. There is a small downtown area where we ate dinner both nights. Both restaurants were recommended by Conor and Margaret and we ate some of the most delicious fresh seafood. The B&B is also very clean and our room was spacious with beautiful views of the Burren. They do have a laptop that you can use in the lobby area so we were able to check emails etc without charge.

Overall, this is a great value. We had great hosts, an amazing breakfast that kept us full through lunch and a great location where we were able to see so many things but yet return to the tranquility of the Cappabhaile House. We will be back some day!

Huge, warm rooms with beautiful furnishings; soft, warm towels; a lovely green farm outlook..what more could a weary traveller wish for? Cappabaihle House is on the way to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher in County Care, Ireland. The hosts are friendly, helpful and attentive but not exhausting and the scrambled eggs and Irish bacon that we had for breakfast were the best I've ever had. Don't miss this treat, a lovely place to relax and enjoy.

Room Tip: Look on the internet for last minute rooms.
