We picked this BB based on the reviews here on TA. My wife and I couldn't agree with them more! This purpose built BB is the perfect place to stay in this region. Margaret was wonderful and is a fantastic host. She has great recommendations for eating and sight seeing in this region. We will certainly stay here on our next visit.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It was our first stop in Ireland. There are so many great things to say so here I go...first of all the hosts are WONDERFUL! Conor and Margaret were some of the nicest people we met in Ireland. Conor was beyond helpful in giving us advice and where to go and what to do. Our maps and GPS were sometimes confusing so he would draw us maps and sure enough we would get to our destination without a problem. His wife was wonderful and they prepared the most delicious breakfast EVER! It was the best (and largest) out of all the B&B's we stayed at while in Ireland.

Their location is also great. It was so quiet and peaceful yet we were able to get to so many sites...Cliffs of Moher etc. There is a small downtown area where we ate dinner both nights. Both restaurants were recommended by Conor and Margaret and we ate some of the most delicious fresh seafood. The B&B is also very clean and our room was spacious with beautiful views of the Burren. They do have a laptop that you can use in the lobby area so we were able to check emails etc without charge.

Overall, this is a great value. We had great hosts, an amazing breakfast that kept us full through lunch and a great location where we were able to see so many things but yet return to the tranquility of the Cappabhaile House. We will be back some day!

Huge, warm rooms with beautiful furnishings; soft, warm towels; a lovely green farm outlook..what more could a weary traveller wish for? Cappabaihle House is on the way to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher in County Care, Ireland. The hosts are friendly, helpful and attentive but not exhausting and the scrambled eggs and Irish bacon that we had for breakfast were the best I've ever had. Don't miss this treat, a lovely place to relax and enjoy.

Room Tip: Look on the internet for last minute rooms.

Conor and Margaret Fahy set the bar in Ballyvaughan. The house is extremely comfortable. From the computer they supply for guest use to the ENORMOUS breakfasts, everything is fabulous. The only point we would make is that the bed in our room was a little hard for us but that's probably just a matter of taste. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very well furnished. They clearly enjoy what they do and the house is a credit to them. I would certainly recommend it as a place to stay in the Burren.

Less than a mile south of Ballyvaughan, Cappabhaile House offers comfort and value you'll not find in town. Friendly, helpful owners and great breakfasts in a purpose built B&B right next to the Burren. What more could you ask for?

Lovely B&B with a very family-like atmosphere. The rooms and baths are spacious, spotless and (ours at least) had a great view of the Burren. Very pastoral feeling, yet only a few minutes drive from Ballyvaughan. Margaret and Conor are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful, and obviously home cooked to order as we saw Margaret and Conor both busy in the kitchen, while another family member brought out the finished dishes. Options like the cheese and fruit platter were a welcome change from the full Irish. The best surprise was that, like another reviewer, we were treated to an improptu session of Irish music from the family and friends in the lounge. What a lovely way to spend the evening! Would recommend the Cappabheile House to anyone visiting the Burren.

We almost passed this little gem by. Very glad to have stopped for the night. The basics:
We were given a large, cheery room at the back with a view of the pasture and the entertaining cows. Everything clean and perfect. The B&B is a bit out of town. This presented no problem for us at all. Breakfast the next morning was the best of our 10 day trip.
Now the surprise. My wife and I were a bit sad that we never got to a pub for a traditional music session. They generally start after 9:30 and we - too sleepy. So owner John Conor saw me at some point and said "We'll have some music here tonight if you're interested" About 8:00 John, his son just home from college and a friend played real good music for an hour or so right there in the comfortable lobby. Made our trip complete.

Room Tip: When you book ask when trad music is on.

Thanks Frank for your very kind words, I am not sure my music ability is all that good but we enjoy a session just the same. I have 4 sibling who play trad music and 4 in the next generation and so the sessions are always different for us too.
Thanks you again
Conor

ps my name is Conor Fahy not to be confused with the guy in Terminator, Brian and Ruairi were the other 2 who played that night
