We stopped in at the Aillwee Caves on our way to the Cliffs of Moher and were not disappointed! We love caves and often stop while traveling to explore them. We thought the price was quite reasonable and our guide, Lisa, did an excellent job - taking her time so that people were not rushed, taking great care to point out low spots so we avoided hitting our heads, and mostly, explaining in quite a bit of detail the story of the cave's discovery, the various geological formations, and lots of extra interesting information - and managed the lighting features as well. We were delighted - and would highly recommend it for interesting parties traveling through the area!

The caves themselves we wonderful. We had a toddler so the 35 minutes it takes to go through them were just long enough and just short enough. The scenery around them is beautiful (The burrens)! They also have a bird of prey center. They put on a show where the birds interact with a few people. You can walk as much as you like or drive from the Bird of Prey Center to the Caves.

Only wanted to see the cave and was not interested in the other attractions. Found the €12 admission fee quite expensive considering the caves themseves are small and most of the 30 minute tour is spent stopped while listening to the tour guide.

On a drive through the Burren we stopped off here, we decided to see the birds of prey show too, so it was 18euro per adult entrance for both the caves and show. I really liked the variety of owls and eagles. The show was around 1 hour and was interesting and informative. The caves tour was very nice, a guide walks you through and gives good information on the caves and the formations and history. A great day out overall.

Quite an interesting little cave. Not too huge, but did not give you a claustrophobic feeling at any point in the tour. The path took you close enough to the still forming cave walls to see the water dripping, a nice sized waterfall and the baby stalactites forming. Short, interesting little side trip.
