We were driving through Ballyvaughan and came upon this place so we decided to go in, I'm glad we did!
We had the homemade lemonade the red berries was beautiful. We also had the crispy chocolate mallow which was delicious!
Quite a few people were having lunches which looked very nice.
They have a lovely garden out the back but as you can imagine on a nice day it was the first place people wanted to sit.
This place is expensive but nice as a treat.

We were advised to go visit this tea-room by our host and being a cake buffs and my husband a serious foodie we didn't need much of an excuse to visit this restuarant. We went over to it after a day spent in Fanore beech so were tired and in need of serious nourishment. You could easily miss this place. It looks very similar to all the cute cottages in the village. When we entered it was clear to see they were very busy but we were met with a friendly welcome and an assurance that we would get a table very soon. We had our two young children with us and were delighted to see that the kiddies menu was not your bog standard "beige food" or fried up food. They had a lovely selection of kiddies food and just the right portion size at a good price.
We had the smoked salmon and prawn quiche and it was to die for. Washed down with tea and cakes...very rich and delish - in hindsight one would be enough to share but hey were on holidays. Not cheap but worth it if you want a treat. We paid €66 for main course for two adults, two kids and 4 desserts and 2 coffees.
Would love to visit again. Staff very nice and basically a well oiled ship. Be careful they close on a Tuesday !

We just needed to stop for coffee and a cake while on a drive. We had aimed for Monks but there was a huge crowd milling around outside, so we just stopped at the next place. The coffee was very good, the cakes were delicious. If the weather is good there is a delightful garden to sit in.

What a wonderful spot to end a day of touring. A picture-perfect tea room with flowers all around and an amazing tea treats buffet. Stephen Speilberg apparently made a detour here just for the cheesecake. Full menu of lunch fare available as well as beer, wine, coffees and teas. This is where we realized that Irish cuisine has really turned around and been updated and given its own twist over the past decade. Well worth a visit.

This is what a tea room is all about. Great food , a little on the expensive side but considering the beautiful setting, the flowers and the views are fantastic and home-made desserts are amazing.
