“Exceptional value for high quality food”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

We went here for lunch last Sunday. The staff are very friendly. The food was excellent. I had a seafood pasta which was delicious and only cost €8.95. My wife had a chicken & mushroom pasta dish which she really enjoyed and that only cost €7.95. We were pleasantly surprised that we could get such good quality food at those prices.

The restaurant is very clean, nice ambiance in it. There are lovely framed photos of Galway throughout the restaurant, you can also buy prints of these photos too.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

“No atmosphere, service slow”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I live in Oranmore and have been here on several occasions, mainly because there is always parking nearby and I like the vegetarian breakfast and the coffee. However you really wouldn't want to be in a hurry...while the staff is always friendly and courtous the service, in my experience, is always slow. Just getting a coffee can take an age. I've only had lunch here on one occasion with three others. The food was grand but we actually ended up laughing at how slow the service was! It is a relatively new restaurant...crisp and immaculate. A few plants or partitions wouldn't go astray as it is quite stark with little atmosphere.

“Salmon cooked to perfection and service with a smile. G8 place.”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

This enchanting little restaurant is off the main road but it's a real gem. We came here after a long day and was treated to the most delicious and scrumptious food. We had salmon which was cooked to perfection:). Service was excellent and staff highly attentive even though there were 2 large parties there before us. The manager was so kind and heplful even suggesting local places to visit. We eat out a great deal in London and this meal by far was the absolute most excellent salmon we have had. Right up there with mama cooking!

“Hire a new chef!”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

I will try and keep this short and sweet, if they desire repeat business time to hire a new chef.
Firstly, the menu mentions in groups of more than 4 the restaurant would ask that you order only 3 different sides out of 6.....why??? If you cannot handle that many sides, don't have them on the menu, which brings me to my second point....menu is way too large, they need to concentrate on the things they can do and do them well....which they certainly are not doing.
Presentation was awful....4 out of 8 of us ordered steak and they came out on the plate with the sauce poured over and that was it, no garnish, nothing. 3 of the 4 of us requested onions with our steak, when they arrived we did not get them, so asked the waitress could she bring the onions we ordered.
The waitress returned to tell us that the chef did not notice this on the order and that they would be about 10 minutes, we said ok we will wait for them, these things happen. She returned in a few minutes to say that the chef could not make the onions for us as this would take him too long and this would disrupt the service completely??? We said it should take about 2 mins, how could that delay service for the rest of the restaurant and were told that he would have to peel, chop and saute the onions and that he would not do them.
Will not be going back here again....very disappointed.
