great look and friendly staff. It boasted the best drink deals in town, but i personally found the old brewery pub a few yards up the street better value for money with better deals. However I would gladly drink here anytime regardless

Keanes of Oranmore is almost a landmark for anyone from the west who passed through oranmore to go to galway, before the time of "motorways" & the like.

Good food & friendly staff are always a guarantee. The bar/restaurant is always busy, and you get what you pay for.

Keep an eye out for the specials!

well what can i say. my gf and i came to galway for paddys weekend and stayed in the nearby oranmore lodge hotel. we wanted to go for something to eat on paddys day and noticed keanes was well reviewed. we decided to go and boy did we regret it. i understand that the place was busy as it was st patricks but this was a joke. All i ordered was the fillet steak with fries and my gf ordered the fajitas. Now when it came out i couldnt quite believe what was in front of me. for a meal that costs the most on the menu i was utterly disappointed. The "fillet" looked more like a pork chop than a fillet steak. it lacked in any flavour and was also well done when i specifically requested medium to well. the portion size was very bad, presentation awful just thrown onto the plate. the only decent thing was the chips.
the staff of course were busy but overall were not very nice. the lady who greeted us i must say was very nice and accommodating but after that we had nothing short of rude. at one point a man was trying to pay for his meal at the till and his coat dragged in my gf food and without recognising the poor layout of the till, the same thing nearly happened again a while later. now call me picky but it frustrates me to fork out €30 for meal that is quite frankly miserable and lacking of anything. i have noticed reviews saying they feel the food is re-heated. to be honest i wouldnt be surprised if it was. very disappointed and will not return
