My wife and I stayed at Ard A Mhaoire for 3 nights ( Nov. 12 to Nov 15 - 2013 ) We were greeted by Sean in Ardara town centre and followed him to the beautiful Ard A Mhaoire, a beautiful cottage with views of the beach at the back and a local waterfall to the front. The cottage has 3 bedrooms a lovely shower room and a bath with toilet downstairs also. The kitchen has everything needed and room to sit and eat. Sean had left some peat to light for an open fire which we did and on a cold November night it was magical. It is wonderfully quiet in the immediate area and a 10 minute walk to Dorlins beach, well worth a visit just to watch the waves come in. A short drive to Ardara town will get you what you need, food, provisions etc. We loved the silence as we come from Belfast and it can be noisy in some areas as you can imagine. I would thoroughly recommend this Beautiful place for peace tranquility and relaxation. It is kept to a very high standard. The friendliness from Sean and all the locals we met was fantastic. Well worth a visit.
