Myself and eight friends overnighted in this great wee hotel after playing Cruit Island golf club and before a round of golf in Portnoo, two must play very scenic golf courses in west Donegal. We had a great dinner in the bar, a few drinks in Doherty Bar and finished up the night at a music session in the Corner House Bar next door to the hotel.
Rooms clean and comfortable, food excellent and staff that could not do enough for you. And Ardara must be the friendliest town in the world to visit.!! Thanks everyone

We stayed in the Nesbitt Arms for 2 nights while visiting beautiful Donegal, the hotel is excellent, clean and big rooms. Catherine and the staff are so friendly. The meals were excellent, we had a beautiful dinner while the buffet breakfast saw us right through the day, fully recommended.

I stayed for one night in room 112. This was a double room and huge! The bed was very big and comfy and the room layout was spacious. The restaurant was a delight, our waiter seemed to be everywhere between serving food, attending the bar and helping at a party in a function room but we were never left waiting for him. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would certainly return in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed this small hotel. Our room ,as well as all public areas , was immaculate. Every member of the staff we met was kind, courteous and seemed sincerely interested in masking our stay enjoyable, despite the fact that they were very busy multi-tasking. Though the room amenities were very basic, our dining experiences I in the hotel restaurant were extraordinary. The food we ate was wonderful. The steaks I had both nights were excellently prepared to my specifications. My husband says the pork medallions served on a bed of creamed garlic spinach may have been one of the best meals he has ever eaten. We will recommend this hotel and this town to all of our friends traveling to Ireland.

Room Tip: We specified a non-smoking room.

The hotel is centrally situated in the village of Ardara. There is no car parking at the hotel but this isn't a problem as there is ample parking along the street outside. Staff were very welcoming on arrival and indeed throughout our stay. The reception area has wifi which was good. The room was spotless, well presented and had good tea and coffee making facilities. We stayed for a weekend at the beginning of March and while the hotel was busy the noise level in the rooms didn't reflect this which allowed for two great nights sleep (helped by a few drinks in the many varied pubs throughout the village). We ate in the restaurant / bar the first night and had a very good value steak dinner which was better than the price might have suggested. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive and the service was excellent. The bar / restaurant lacks some character but it has stiff competition from some other bars which also have music. The village of Ardara has a great atmosphere about it and it is only a short drive to a great beach. Overall the stay was good value for money and most enjoyable. Would recommend as it was a relaxing break in good surroundings.

Stayed one Saturday nite early September, welcomed by friendly lady doing both the bar and reception but still had time for us.Room was fine ,basic but with the usual tea and coffee etc,and spotlessly clean, what more do you want?Anyway we did the tour of Adara town in the afternoon,we tried a few pubs ,plenty of choice.Decided to eat in hotel bar after looking around at other places also .The bar was very busy with a party and other tourists but we got a table after a short wait, the food was wonderful, especially the lasagne just like homemade. The bar had a good buzz and just two staff did everything ,they didnt stop all night,a credit to the hotel.Overall we enjoyed our short stay, hotel very welcoming and cosy perfect for a relaxing break.Cant wait to visit again....

Room Tip: All rooms seem the same standard.

We didn't stay at this hotel but stopped here two nights in a row because the food was excellent. We were welcomed when we arrived by staff who were attentive and helpful. Both nights we left feeling very satisfied with the meal and the price. Compliments to the chef! Will definitely recommend to friends travelling through Ireland from Australia.
