This restaurant/bar was featured in many guidebooks, we were staying in Glencolmcille which is a lovely scenic drive of 25/30 mins to Ardara, but one which we only wanted take during the day, so although our preference would have been for an evening meal, we had a lovely lunch of main courses and sweets plus the obligatory guinness for me and brandy/red for the wife. We both had seafood charlies supper for me, prawns and smoked salmon warmed in a sweet chilli sauce with soda bread, the wife local mussels in a white whine garlic sauce............this was our only disappointment as there was no sauce with the mussels, but the mussels were plump and juicy. Charlies supper is a signature dish and well worth the accolades in the guidebooks we read. The meal was topped off with guinness chocolate cake & cream (diet starts tomorrow!!) we thought about ordering two spoons one cake but after that millisecond the two sweets were ordered and consumed with gusto as they were truly scrumptious. Another highlight of our trip to Donegal, well worth a visit
