Stayed at Pres-du-Lac one weekend as part of a group. The service although a little slow, was pleasant. Food is nice, a little high priced for the area, but certainly worth a drive. Just a little off the Trans Canada Highway in the Grand Falls (NB) area.

Stopped in a quiet Tuesday night. Not too busy 5 or 6 others in dining room. Had the special barley soup very tasty. Haddock au gratin with vegetables and mashed potatoes very tasty.awesome piece of coconut cream pie to finish. Waitress very professional and courteous.

Avoid the restaurant (or try to get in before) when a tour bus has disembarked. The restaurant is deemed "full", and yet the breakfast eating area, with all its tables and chairs, is kept entirely empty. A hungry family couldn't give two figs if they eat dinner in the breakfast area!

The clam chowder was quite good, along with one of their roast potatoes with all the works. The garden salad appetizer left a lot to be desired, along with their quarter chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables - it was similar in quality to what you'd get in a workplace cafeteria.

The breakfast was very good, with make-your-own waffles, and a selection of juices, cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads/bagels etc. As it was included in the room price, this was a very nice feature of our stay.
