“Great place to walk”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Killiney hill is a wonderful place to go for a walk. Many people are about, the view is absolutely spectacular, a nice coffee shop at the bottom.

“Exercise in Beautiful Surroundings”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

If you like aerobic exercise in beautiful surroundings, go for a good walk on Killiney Hill. Particularly good during weekdays, as there are fewer people but great at any time. This was originally called Victoria Hill - so called to mark the visit of Queen Victoria to the area in the mid 19th century. The view from the top gives a 360 degree aspect over Counties Wicklow and Dublin, stretching from the Wicklow Mountains, with Dublin suburbs and the Dublin Mountains. The top of the hill is graced by an Obelisk, visible for miles around, built in the 19th Century. Killiney Village is close to the entrance gates and it is accessible by number 59 bus. The newly opened tea rooms close to the entrance gate provide a welcome snack or light lunch.

“Excellent views, pity about the dogs”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Excellent coastal views and a pleasant park. It is clearly THE place to bring dogs, but unfortunately most of the dogs had been left off the leash making it not so pleasant, especially for young children.

“Best view and Best walk”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Killiney hill is our best walk and the views are out of this world. You meet very friendly people especially if you take the time. The views on a clear day is too die for. For children it has a great woods and wild life and it is free. They keep the hill very tidy but you do have to look out for dog poo. I appreciate what we have at our door step. Anyone visiting Dalkey, Killiney and Dun Laoghaire this is a must.
