Bloody shambles of a hotel , paid for parking for 4 days , car park was full and told to park out side! If I have paid why is my car out side the grounds ! First night fire alarm set off , paper thin walls could hear one couple having a blazing row the other a lady talking in general conversation on the phone, doors slamming constant , dirty , folded my used towel and put on floor for cleaner new ones lashed on side old ones still on floor day after ! Second night am lay in bed asleep and there is a man stood at the bottom of my bed with his bag and a porter put the light on didn't even knock on the door it's a absolutely the worst place I have stayed, no idea if the bar down stairs is hotel run or not the food is great in there anyone passing buy give it a go staff really nice in there to but do not enter that hotel it's like faulty towers !!!

The rooms haven't been updated since the 70s. There are wires hanging naked from walls which I brought to management attention. 2 Days later there was no change to the naked wires. Staff abrupt and tried to charge me for a fold out bed, I had rang in advance and queried if this was available in which they said it was free.

Rooms in generally an un-kept state and mould was rife throughout.

Prior to leaving the sheets were stripped from the bed to reveal disgusting stains.

Bad staff
bad decor
bad hygiene

Hands up the worst hotel I have ever visited

Room Tip: Avoid at all costs....

They are refurbishing rooms. We were lucky, ours seemed recently done and things seemed new [bathroom etc]. The bistro was ok too, and people tried to give good service. However, people did not seem to have specific jobs so everybody was doing the same thing for all tables. Hence, a bit chaotic. They can greatly improve on the food and stop collecting unused cutlery while you are still eating. McGettigans bar was good, and the staff helpful. Would only go back if food improved.

The rooms were terribly old and needs updating and a paint. Cobwebs behind the curtains and bed. Stained bed-frills that had not been replaced for months or longer.
Could not get out of there soon enough.
Do not be mislead with the website and photos of the hotel.
Leisure center was below average.
Staff at reception and leisure center very friendly though, i'll give them that!

Breakfast was standard.

The highlight of our stay was the bar - MCGETTIGANS Bar - Great selection of food and cocktails. Staff were friendly. Great sports bar and atmosphere.
