Stayed in Bray for two nights not at The Martello, but i will be booking The Martello in future!!!!! Popped-in for a drink and the atmosphere was brilliant the place was hopping. Food is top notch and prompt considering the crowd. Staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were lashed out of it.... (take note management) The icing on the cake that day was ~ Katie Taylors dad was there ~ He stood in for a photo he was fair sound!!! I would highly reccomend Martellos and thanks for a great time!!!! :) xxx

My uncle Joe Douglas and Iris stayed in your hotel this week - they just left on Thursday. While there my uncle celebrated his 80th. Birthday and the hotel provided him with Champagne and his family surprised him with a special meal. He was delighted with his treatment at the hotel and would like to express his thanks to all the staff who helped him enjoy his stay. They have stayed in the Martello on several occasions and hope to be back again later in the summer. Again thanks to everyone at the Martello for making their stay so pleasant and enjoyable.

Stayed at the Martello from 13th May - 19th May on a golf break, twelve of us in total, we had been before in 2007 (it was good then) and went back on how much we enjoyed it our last time there, only to find it had got even better.
The refurbished rooms are excellent, well furnished, comfy beds & great shower, the staff are so friendly and want you to have a good time - you cannot ask much more of them, nothing was too much trouble.
We ate in the hotel every night bar one and the food was of a high quality with plenty of choice and very good portions. Breakfast was a good choice, usual cereals, juices etc and then a choice of cooked breakfasts from Full Irish to Eggs on Toast.
The hotel is a very lively place with a good mix of peolpe of all ages enjoying themselves - lets face it with good food and Guinness, its hard not to!
Well done all at the Martello and thanks again for making 12 guys really happy - see you again soon, we enjoyed the Craic Agus Ceol!!

Room Tip: I suppose a sea view room but dont think you will be dissapointed with any of the rooms

A group of us stayed here for the Gospel Rising festival in the apartments. We couldn't have asked for anything else. The staff were so warm and friendly and very accommodating. The food choice was very varied and was delicious. The place was buzzing the whole weekend with not only people attending the festival, but also locals and families of some of which were celebrating communions and confirmations. Loved the outside area with all the gas heaters, very snug in the evening and you could stay out there til the wee hours of the morning. Accommodation was excellent, very clean and beds were comfy, staff were helpful if anything was needed regarding more cups, utensils etc.

The only complaint was the noise from the disco, I didn't hear it my self as I was staying on a higher floor, but a member of our party who was on a lower floor felt the noise kept her awake, so would advise asking for a room on a higher floor to escape noise. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would return again

I stayed at the Martello for a week & it was a lovely place to stay. I was booked in for b&b & the quality of the breakfast is very good. Plenty of fruit available with all the cereal choice you could want. This Hotel is rated as a 2 star & I have stayed at far worse 3 star Hotels. It has undergone a very good revamp & I have to say there was nothing spared in doing this. The room was the usual standard of what you would expect & was spotless. The shower & toilet was as if it had been put in the previous day, loads of hot water all the time.(no Bath) but I only have a shower so this did not matter.Air con was in the room I had and internett access is available all over the Hotel.Plenty of channels on the Tv with some you expect as premium channels.I cannot compliment the staff at the Hotel enough for pleasantness & willingness to get you whatever you needed. There was always a welcome greeting anytime you met any of the staff & this is something a lot of Hotels could adapt. The food in the bar is very good also & not expensive. Lots of people seem to use the Martello as a meeting place & it bustles with life all the time. Well done to the Martello keep it up.

Have been visiting this hotel for a while now, so that in itself is a god recommendation.

The rooms have recently been refurbished, and they look great, nothing the matter before, unless you wanted to say they were dated, they now have a sea side feel to them, the colour is mushroom, new flat screen tvs have replaced the old style, the interior designer has done an excellent job!

It was good that free wi fi was available.

The Martello is very easy to find, right opposite the band stand on Strand Road.

We had delicious meals in the upstairs conservatory and the views of the Irish Sea are wonderful. The food is second to none, with very pleasant staff availing to all our needs.

You wouldn't think Ireland was in a recession, the place was buzzing. This is an ideal place to stay, not too far from Dublin, and close to the Wicklow mountains, so it's great as a base or just as a one night stay.

This may be an ideal spot for stag/hen do's as there is a great night club, Koo on site, where you can make your own cocktails.

Room Tip: For great views of the Irish Sea ask for a room at the front of the building. Also available are...

I stayed in The Martello for 1 night and from check in the service just got better. The room was spacious and very homely. The service in the bar was brilliant, every staff member walked by and acknowledged me and made sure i had everything i needed. The food was amazing and would recommend The Martello as the hotel to stay in Bray. Even if you just want food, it is worth every penny...
