Very modern. Told that double rooms with breakfast were 55 euros but when reception realised there were two of us staying in the room the price became 55 euros per person so 110 euros in total. Rooms were adequate, clean and modern but there was no hairdryer, iron or air conditioning. When checking out were told that hairdryers and irons were only available upon request from reception but surely these are standard items when staying at such an expensive hotel.

Avoid room 122 as there is no view other than looking out over a metal roof.

myself and my partner stayed here for a vintage car club weekend, venue brilliant for this event, rooms spotless and hotel staff absolutely top class, food was a terrible let down,
beef was dreadful the night of our dinner dance, and breakfast next morning left alot to be desired, a pity for such a new hotel, don't think it deserves the fourth star,

I've stayed here a number of times

The good:
The room is clean and modern, the breakfast is quite good too

The bad:
No wireless broadband, its 2009 dont you know. Single person B&B was €85 a little pricey i think

The Ugly:
The price of the bar food is very expensive, one steak sandwich was €18, more expensive than 4 pints of lager!!

Stayed here on business in Tipp. Decent 4 star but nothing special.
Room was nice LCD tv, good closet space and table etc. no wireless which was a bit of a pain i had to get a cable from reception. Restaurant decor was ok the most memorable thing about this hotel was the food which was really good! i had the steak which was delicous and i got 4 types of potatoes! 4! served to me by an excellent French waiter everything was very well presented. After dinner i relaxed in the bar and had a pint and sat in a very comfortable leather couch directly in front of the TV. Breakfast was decent.

I stayed with a group of friends in this hotel as our sports club were holding their annual ball there. Three of us shared a room which was very nice, clean and well appointed. I thought the rate of €75 pp sharing for a Saturday in February was a bit steep but our choices were limited because that was where our event was being held.
All staff were very friendly and helpful and had no problem with many people checking out after 12. The breakfast was nice and included a wide selection of choices of both hot and cold food.
Overall I was impressed witht the hotel, but I would question the price of the room at €225 for three people for a small town like Clonmel.

From the time we entered the hotel we met obnoxious rude and ill mannered staff. Two girls on reception were very rude!!! the one the following morning was just as bad, when we complained to the manager, it was a joke!!! He was worse than the rest of them. I could say some nice things about this hotel but when theres staff working in it like the ones I dealt with, its a waste of time, definitely wont go back there, its a Brennan Hotel and they should be thought to deal with the public in the way the staff in the other hotels of their group do, they are fantastic.

me and my partner stayed last week for the coursing festival. i stayed in the hotel last year and thought it woz lovely, but unfortunately this year we were not pleased , the hotel rooms were quite cold. the breakfast was an absolute joke we had to clear a table ourselves cause every table was dirty from the last residents who had their breakfast, there was alot of staff and it wouldnt have taken 2 minutes to clear the table, they didnt even offer to clear it off when they saw us sit down on a dirty table, im sorry but if you call that four star standards!!! the breakfast was nice i will say and a nice selection of buffet & hot breakfast. On monday night my card wouldnt work so i spent 20mins down in the reception waiting for a porter i eventually had to go in to the bar to ask if there was a porter around. I have to compliment the staff in the bar they were very nice and friendly. Just to top it all off the rate we paid last year for the duration of our stay was expensive but this year they had to put the rate up again. I think thats just ridiculous and wont be returning again!
