Stayed in the Crowne Plaza an number of times, always good value. I have found the staff to be very helpful. Rooms are very nice, well laid out.

All in all a good hotel.

Location, outside town a bit, maybe to far to walk but therefore very quiet area.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing east, best views

This hotel has been getting some good reviews lately based on the good value it is offering, and the quality of the hotel itself. I stayed here mid-Sept 2011 and I agree with both ! It is offering exceptional value for accommodation and meal deals partly because of its location. It is not a city-centre venue and it is quiet, but if that's OK for you and you have transport or can use taxis then it works. On the quality of the venue itself, the staff, amenities, etc., its pretty good. The views, especially from the top floor for breakfast, are spectacular and worth it. One slight drawback is the absence of WiFi from the hotel bedrooms, though it is free on the ground floor ... it wouldn't cost much to upgrade this and would be worth it.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk for a couple of nights for a wedding in early Sept. Was expecting comfy beds and pleasant stay after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Really nice quiet rooms – nothing too fancy but deffo got a couple of good nights sleep – although the copious amounts of drink probably didn’t hurt!!

Which brings me to the bar – very lovely bar guy working in the bar on the Friday and Saturday nights – fella with the beard – could be andy?

Anyway shame they had no champagne – prosecco was pretty rank. All in all a very pleasant stay. Brekkie is expensive for what it was but that’s probably my only gripe.

Room Tip: think they are all fairly sound proof or maybe we were just lucky

we had a 2 day stay here and it was worth every penny we ate out the 1st night which was a big mistake as it was very expensive and average .On the 2nd night we went for the hotels special dinning offer which was 50 euros for 2 with a btle of house wine included.
The food was cooked in front of you and tasted delicious would highly recomend you try this resturant it is upstairs they also have a bar /bistro downstairs which we did not use over all a very nice place to stay staff very friendly and helpful.

Travelled to Dundalk last week for days to settle my daughter into college and stayed at the crowne plaza.I would definently recommend this hotel. The thing that stood out most were the friendly reception and bar staff. The hotel was immaculate, rooms were a decent size with comfy beds.I had 2 double beds in our room and 4 people could stay for 79 euro. Its not near any pubs but a taxi is only 7 euro.

Room Tip: The higher floors have terrific views

Stayed here for 2 nights, lovely hotel, was spotlesssly clean. Booked with Lidl breaks, excellent value 198euro for B&B plus evening meal on both nights, for 2 of us.

The room was fabulous each floor has a theme based on the seasons. The bedroom was huge and the bathroom. I have to say it was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in and it was huge.

The food at both breakfast and the evening meal was beautiful, with full length windows showing spectacular scenery { restaurant on 13th floor} to provide views.

In the evening the bar was a bit quiet, but was cheap enough to get taxi into town.

Would highly recommend this hotel and if you get a chance go into Carlingford, a charming little town.

I was staying there Friday the 19th of august at my friends wedding. After checking into my room I decided to use the bathroom before heading down to the wedding celebrations, much to my disgust there were a pair of worn underpants in the middle of the bathroom floor!!!!!! I wouldn't be one to normally complain but that is absolutely disgusting, I won't be rushing back here in a hurry!!!!!!!!!
