Thank you for your comments - I am delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay at the Carrickdale Hotel & Spa. Our leisure centre is very family friendly. We also have a great selection on our bar snack menu which is available from Monday - Saturday, which I am delighted you enjoyed. We also have our Carrick Restaurant available, so hopefully you will be able to try it out the next time you stay!!

We had our wedding at the Carrickdale Hotel last June and have stayed a few times after this, the staff, food and everything about it were absolutley amazing. I would recomend this hotel to anyone. We have never had a bad stay here and the rooms were kept extremley clean. Their carvery is a must have for any food lover! It will be a hotel my husband and I return to time and time again.
Their gardens are fantastic for photos and there is also mini golf!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 night bank holiday long weekend break. I was very impressed with the food, the service, and most of all with the way in which the hotel was able to cope with the huge demand for breakfast that Sunday morning (as the hotel was filled to capacity on the Saturday night). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there was generally a great atmosphere about the place, especially in the bar with its entertainment in the evenings. The leisure centre was quite impressive as well and we really enjoyed sitting in the outdoor hot tub in the evening sunshine (I gather it's also very pleasant when it snows in the winter). Overall, a great weekend and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as a base for the beautiful village of Carlingford and the Cooley mountains. The courtesy bus (laid on by Fitzpatrick's) to and from the fascinating, and well worth a visit, Fitzparick's restaurant was also a nice bonus.

This hotel must be one of the best we have stayed in, from the moment we stepped inside the staff could not do enough for us, our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the mountains, big room with everything including free safe, tea, coffee etc. lovely comfortable beds. There is a large indoor swimming pool and gym. We had two evening meals which were fabulous, no skimping on portions, in fact couldnt eat it all, shame. The waitresses and waiters so polite and attentive, obviously well trained in every aspect. This trip was for the purpose of a wedding. There are two parts to this hotel on either side of the road, an underpass separates the two so you can walk under instead of outside, it was well lit with lovely photos on the walls of all parts of Ireland, the gardens very large and beautifully laid out, very serene, ideal for any wedding. The entrance to the hotel is a turning off the motorway and well signposted.

Room Tip: If you want to overlook the mountains take a room with an odd number, we had 619 on the 4th floor, lovely view, can be a bit noisy late at night but not a problem.

Hi stopped here for one night as was attending a wedding. The grounds to the hotel are amazing, the outdoor space is spectacular. Not too far away to explore some of Ireland over the border. The food was amazing and staff fantastic.
