Visited this restaurant with a few friends for breakfast. 2 of us ordered scones and tea and the other 3 ordered full breakfasts/ eggs etc. We asked the waitress did we have sufficient time to order the full breakfasts as it was approx. 10.10am and we were attending a funeral at 11am. She said it shouldn't be a problem and she would inform the kitchen staff that we were in a hurry. If she had of said that there wouldn't be enough time we would have all been happy to order a scone and tea or something quick. The waitress serving our table was very friendly and polite, however, all of the drinks arrived after the food. The full breakfasts were brought out first then the scones. As another waitress arrived with the tea, my friend reminded her politely that she also ordered a glass of coke (which would have been 25 minutes previously at this stage) to which the waitress replied "It's coming now, two hands". We felt this was very rude as my friend was almost finished her food and it wasn't an unreasonable request. Another friend had also ordered a tea with her breakfast which was forgotten about and she didn't have time to get it in the end. The restaurant was busy enough but not overly crowded. I understand that we were in a hurry but we did inform the waitress of this. It would have made more sense for the drinks to be given to us while they waited for the kitchen staff to prepare the food. The food was very nice and I don't often write negative reviews but felt the service was quite disorganised here and that the comment made by one of the waitresses was rude.

Good value, good service, good food, you can't really ask for better. I've eaten here a lot, today being the most recent time and I've never had a bad meal. €20 set menu is hard to beat. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun, enjoy a cold one and watch the world go by (well, Earl Street anyway) and enjoy the company of a pal. Would definitely recommend here.

Hi Becky

Thanks so much for your kind review.

Our €20 set menu is still as popular as ever & we're delighted you enjoyed your Riva dining experience.

Our outdoor seating is perfect for watching the world go by (Or Earl St as you rightly pointed out!!!) & has been very popular during that spell of great weather that we had recently.

Thanks again & hopefully we'll see you back with us real soon.

Two of my friends came visiting me from Budapest. One of them was eager to try Full Irish Breakfast. I was not sure if Riva Bresserie serve breakfast on Sundays but they do and it was truly awesome meal. It took a little too long to prepare but it turned out to be worht waiting. I had Vanilla Pancakes as well. They came with fried bakon and maple syrup. My other friend had Sunny Side Up which was also delicious.
