My husband and I arrived into the hotel on the Friday evening at approx' 7pm..The receptionist there at the time was named Claire, and was such a friendly face..Very attentive..Upgraded us to a suite room-202-which is situated facing the back of the hotel onto the car park…We were very pleased with this as the room turned out to be quite large-a separate living area, with 2 couches and a large tv…plenty of room…7 channels on the tv (no sky)..Our bed was a king size, very comfy..A little reading table with 2 chairs and a separate wall table,3 drawers plus another chair..Room was spotlessly clean…Bathroom had a bath with shower overhead (no separate shower). Adequate complimentary shampoo/soaps/shower caps (same make as those in Clontarf Castle Dublin, but larger in Glengarriff :) .. The staff could not do enough for us.We had a meal in the restaurant that evening and it was very reasonably priced and delicious too..A complimentary bottle of wine was included in our room package. Breakfast was served up to 11am at the wend and the lady serving, Ann Marie, kept asking if we had enough and was everything ok etc..She was very attentive and pleasant to speak with. We would like to come back to Glengarriff as it's a great base for travel to Bantry, Castletownbere, Allihies etc.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is in the center of town so it is great to walk to everything and not have to drive. The prices were good value and the food was excellent, and our Hotel Room was very nice I will stay at this Hotel again.

Stayed for 2nights at this hotel and the staff were attentive, friendly and cheerful. The rooms were really lovely - the beds were huge and really really comfortable. Bar food was plentiful and tasty.Breakfast was served a little late at 9am start but the food was excellent and the late checkout appreciated on the second day. Only drawback was the 9am breakfast and that was only a slight inconvenience on one morning due to schedule. Excellent value for money and will definately go back.

Stayed during the power shortage due to the storm. Excellent hotel and staff. Booked 2 days and stayed five even though other options were available. Very competitive prices. Excellent breakfast and next day to the Park Bistro. Meals in both establishments are excellent with a grand selection. Found staff were always ready with a smile. Walking distance from several local shops. Walking distance from bus station. A place I would be happy to return to.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you want quiet.

We arrived at the hotel 2.30 pm after driving for 5 hrs and discovered there was no electricity/phones or no back up in the event of a power outage..needless to say we were not happy.
we spoke to a very nice lady that told us to call later and hopefully the power would be restored.
having returned back to the hotel at 5.30 approx. there was still no power .we were offered a glass of wine each but as I was driving I declined.. .the manager was not available, and nobody at reception. As it was getting late and no place to stay we eventually got accommodation in Killarney some miles away.We still enjoyed our weekend at much more expence.
