“Great for a quick snack or a coffee”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

We stopped here for a coffee and light meal and enjoyed it so much that we made it a regular stop on our holiday.

Good quality food, especially the apple pie! The garden with view over the bay is lovely in fine weather. Friendly and efficient service.

Great selection of homemade goods and tasty coffee. Absolutely beautiful. Stop by for a little something and you won't be disappointed.

Servings were large and food was excellent. Ate here on a recommendation from a local and was not disappointed. They don't accept credit cards.

“Lovely Well made fresh food”
Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

Following your nose ( and TA!) can bring some lovely surprises. Modern Irish Caffe, eith a lovely garden at the back, providing spectacular views of this most beautiful of bays.
Limited menu, but all the better for that. A quiche was made with excellent eggs, cooked to perfection, and served with a selection of fresh sallads: a Thai curry was perfection, as good as you would get in Bangkok, and portions were generous and filling.
Good wines were served in small portions in cocktail glasses, which did not accord well with the generosity exhibited elsewhere. It is not easy to find food prepared to this standard, and served by such delightful people!
You need to go up the hill to find Jim's, toward Bantry. They do not accept plastic, so you need to be equipped with the folding stuff.

If you are wanting a great coffee, fabulous food, in a very relaxed, yet elegantly funky setting, you cannot go past Jim's Coffee House!
We had, coffee & GF cake, I was so happy as a coeliac to be able to eat a freshly made slice of the tangiest lemon polenta cake. I had to fight my husband for the last forkful, it was that good!
Staff were so friendly & helpful and the vibe of the cafe is gorgeous. My cup & saucer was fine porcelain & the teapot beautiful. This cafe is a hidden gem
