“Much more than a B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

Beautifully decorated house, spotlessly clean & comfortable. The breakfast was a feast to behold, plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, smoked salmon, breads plus the option of a full irish if we were able for it, which we were'nt. Would definately recommend The Arches.

This is the best B&B we stayed in during our 10 days trip through Ireland. It can be comapered to a 5***** hotel. After our arrival we were offerer some tea an sweets in the beautiful terrace. The room was beautifully done up and everything smelled like a flower garden. The towels in the beautiful bathroom were so soft. Simply beautiful. The breakfast was served in a great furnished dining room....and the foot was great. If you ever go to this small town, don't think about any other room....just knock here. You can't regret it! I could write so much more...excellent! !

Really nice place. The room was comfortable, extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Like staying at your friends house (the friend with good taste and compulsive cleaning habits). As other reviews have mentioned, there was tea & cake on arrival, a small outside pool I wasn't brave enough to try and extremely soft towels. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, a smorgasbord of cheeses, meats and fish and a freshly prepared traditional Irish. Glengarriff is a nice little village to explore - take a walk around the little peninsula to see the seals.

They helped us set up our hike along the beara way walk. It was our first rainy day in two weeks of being in Ireland and we just enjoyed their reading area and great restaurants in the town. Breakfast and company was outstanding. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I stayed here overnight recently,we were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the place, it was both luxurious and immaculately clean. The breakfast was beautifully cooked using only the highest quality ingredients, a lovely decking area and river to the rear of the house provide the perfect setting in which to eat it. A credit to the friendly owners,we cannot praise it enough.

This B&B could be a 5 star hotel based on the experience we had. High quality room with the biggest and fluffiest towels. The best ever breakfast (tweaked to suit my lactose intolerance) and excellent hospitability. Highly recommended!
