We stayed two nights in this hotel. The views of the bay were terrific. Bed comfy. Bar staff welcoming. A good base to tour this coast. Quiet, relaxing

Room Tip: Get a room that is sea facing

Little bit of old world charm and mod cons thrown in. Beautiful location.
Very quiet and isn't long open for this year but the staff that were on duty were very friendly and professional. Dinner was lovely and great value and had a comfortable and peaceful sleep.
One thing that would help would be if wifi had been available but still a very enjoyable stay and will be back.

We fell for this hotel in 2008, while stayin in a different hotel in the area.the staff are fantastic, rooms are beautiful and food is amazing. We loved it so much we got married there in 2010,and cant wait for our next trip back with the baby and all :D really cannot praise this hotel highly enough!its a 3 minute walk to the bamboo park, where tropical plants grow, we had our photos taken here.loved it , loved it, loved it!!!

Room Tip: the bridal suite or "Yeats Suite"is worth the extra few euro, although as long as you ask...

spent 2 nights in the Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff mid March. I have to say that it was a very pleasant place to stay. We had dinner on one evening which was ok and the breakfast was very good. the staff are also very pleasant and we were pleasantly surprised at how spotlessly clean the hotel was. Its only a five minute walk from the town and for a quiet place to stay its ideal.

Room Tip: Ask for overlooking sea and the higher up the better

6 of us incl 4 kids under age 11 stayed 2 nights for St Patrick's weekend just gone. The interconnecting rooms are very family oriented and ours even included a third separate small room up a little staircase which was immediately turned into a playroom. Think Enid Blyton's Famous Five, the kids loved it. The hotel itself has great character, a look at the photos in the bar provides a sense of history (P.S. the Guinness at the bar is fantastic..!). The staff couldn't do enough for you, we ate dinner both nights in the hotel, the food was real quality, the hake delicious. Cosy and comfortable, fireplace in the lobby, easy to relax, we had a great time. Glengarriff itself is beautiful, there is a nice playground for the kids, lovely forest walks, the sea on your doorstep. It helped that the weather itself was also idyllic.

We visited friends in Schull and decided to stay here as the hotel there is closed. Lovely hotel with old world charm. The staff could not have been nicer to us and the kids (9,7,1).
Great views over the sea from our rooms!

Spent one night here last week and thought the room we had was good for such an old hotel. It was a decent size and had TV and coffee making facilities. Having a sea view was worth it. The staff were very polite and breakfast was a both a selection of things from the buffet plus a cooked breakfast, more than enough. We had nothing to complain about. You cannot compare old world type hotels to modern ones but I think they have made an effort to upgrade to a good standard.

Room Tip: Rooms on top floors have better views and are possibly quieter.
