We have been in Angela's house for a month (july/august) with most days pretty good and sunny weather. The house is comforting, nice bedrooms with good showers (two of them ensuite). The kitchen is spacious, well equipped and if we were in need of something it was promptly provided. The living room has a beautiful view over Ballinskellig Bay and is comfortabel to sit in and read, play music of just watch some t.v. (or even better: watch the view). Waterville is a lovely little village, directly on the coast and has all you need. There is a lot to exploit in the environment of the house (and don't forget the Lohar stone fort - directly next to the house) and you can have great walks (the Kerry way), go fishing on the shore (and try to catch the seabass), explore on a bike or have some nice drives. In short: we had a very good month in a lovely surrounding in a lovely house. Thank you, Angela.

If you have only 10 days to "do" Ireland this is the place for you! (Provided "doing" Ireland means you will NOT want to be on a bus...or want to cover as much of the country as possible!) My first reaction when we walked in the house was: "This is even BETTER than what I saw on trip advisor!" And it is for sure! You cannot believe the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you here...and so appropriately named: Torann na dTonn (The Sound of the Waves!) A perfectly idyllic spot off the beaten path to serve as your hub for exploring the area in depth. We totally enjoyed our stay here and will long to go back as soon as humanly possible! Angela is the perfect host demonstrating characteristic Irish charm, joy and hospitality...and her sister, Marion and their friend Ettel...were equally lovely people and a true delight to chat with. Very very clean and neat with simple beauty and charm...everything you could ever want in one place...and then some! (Angela goes out of her way to make everything special for you!) Lots to do around the area...(my wife kept saying: "You wouldn't see THIS on a tour bus!" Great pubs (make sure you eat in The Lobster and get their sticky toffee pudding...it's the best in Ireland!! AND...if you happen to be in O' Dwyers' pub say hi to Adrian and John for me!)
THIS home is the ONLY way to do Ireland in my book! Bag those bus tours and hang out with the locals in Co. Kerry in this amazing place! Angela's home needs to be on your MUST SEE AND DO list!

We travelled in the middle of october 2013 and immensely enjoyed our one week stay, the house was modern, tastefully furnished, well equipped and spacious, with stunning views out over the ocean. The owner was also extremely helpful and accommodating. all in all highly recommended and we are already planning our return next year!

We have always loved going to Kerry for our family holidays when we are not travelling abroad. When I found this house I knew it would be special. the promotional pictures are good but you have to see it to truly appreciate this house and its Idyllic location.
When we arrived my children's reaction were that of "WHOW" and this was to how beautiful the house was. my wife and I also said "WHOW" both for the house and the incredible view. To the left of the house beautiful mountain drop and in front of the house beautiful fields and then the view of the sea, just breathtaking is the only appropriate words to use.
Angela was great as a host. inside the house was 10/10. she provided and catered for all we needed for our stay, kitchen utensils, bathroom items frankly Angela has thought of everything for this house. My wife and I found the house very spacious for us and our my five children.
We stayed for a week with fantastic sunshine every day, Waterville itself is beautiful with numerous beaches and places to eat nearby. we visited numerious beaches all within a 15 minutes drive from the house.
Waterville has truly amazing views when you are driving up the mountains looking down at the sea. we only wish we could have stayed for two weeks
(Highlights)
we loved the Spectacular mountain view seen from the house also the breath-taking view from the front of the house overlooking the sea especially during sunset and sundown, you just can't get any better.Fantastic well done Angela

Have just returned from a weeks stay in Angela's fantastic house. I traveled with a group of 8 from Tipperary and even though it was a long 4 hour journey it was definitely worth the trip. I cannot say enough about this house, everything you could possibly think of was provided. Angela met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome and showed us everything we needed to see in the house. It was super clean and decorated to the highest standard. The views from every window in the house are just fantastic and it is just so peaceful and relaxing there. We traveled quite a bit while there, taking a day out to visit Fungi in Dingle, it's definitely worth the trip as it was a great day out. We also ventured to Tralee which was just over an hours drive and the atmosphere there was fantastic as it was the start of the Rose of Tralee festival. We enjoyed all the sights and scenery around but always looked forward to coming back to the house as it was like a home away from home. I would recommend coming here for a holiday to anybody and especially staying in this house while here on holidays. Angela was the perfect host and anyone looking for the PERFECT LUXURIOUS place to stay you will not find better than this house GUARANTEED!!!!!! Will definitely return :)

Sitting down a few months after staying in this house having a cup of coffee thinking to myself, it's nice, but, it's just not the same. No coffee has been the same, as nice since our stay in this house in Kerry. The most relaxing cup of coffee or tea or glass of wine you could have is out the back of this house after traveling through Kerry for the day. Ok it's cold out, in the middle if summer, but wrapped up warm with that view, with the silence of the place. Well not only is it priceless it's a felling tat stays months after you leave.
When we got to this house on the first day, non of us( me, my wife our 12 year old son and two daughters aged 3 and 6) we in the mood to do anything, it was a long hard drive down (4'hours). However the house was not only amazing, large, very clean but it was very relaxing with fantastic views. We were soon relaxed and cycled into town and when we got back we had a bite to eat in the house, about 7 we went to a very close somewhat private beach. Not the type you see in Spain but the type from the discover Ireland ads on the tv. The type of beach that while its cold, is empty and the kids can run mad in the water throw sand and where you can build dams in the rocks where a small stream meats the sea. Priceless, we returned to this beach most evenings to round off the day.
Once based in this house there is loads to do, you need to look it up, and you need to drive everyday to get to these locations, about an hour or more each way. We went cycling, running walks, the house is beside a great ring fort, beaches, parks, chocolate factory, Killarney, kenmare, boat trips everything you could fit into a week. Read relaxed and sat by the open fire at night.
Who is this house for? People who don't go on holiday to the med or Spain to get a tan, if that's your thing then go to the med or Spain. However if you have an active family and rather than giving out you like to get on with stuff and enjoy life, then book this house. If you don't mind cycling in the rain, being on the beaches in the cold and you love to go for long runs book this house.we have brought the kids to Spain, to Disney land floridly and to east Europe. However this was not only the cheapest holiday of them all its was the most relaxing and the one that provided the most memories, like being on Valencia island with the fog so thick we could not see the sea below and the kids laffing their heads off at us for bringing them.
W we on about 6 different beaches down there, I day we were the only irish there. 6 German families! 3 Dutch and 4 French. All made their own way over and just started chatting on the beach. ( some days were good weather) I thought these people were spending a fortune to come over and have the type of holiday the average irish person would turn their nose up at.
