Reception friendly and helpful, room well presented and clean. Bar was surprisingly modern and well presented, staff here were also friendly and happy to help. Food was good and recommend eating there. Down side no bath in room!

Excellent town centre location, easy safe parking, attentive staff. Great coffee bar, cakes to die for, excellent restaurant,Table d Hote menu small but perfectly formed and excellent service - best meal we had on our mini-break. Great staff. Room clean and everything we needed. Bit noisy on the Friday night we stayed, but that's our fault for not joining in the disco, and a bit of shock with the 4am fire alarm, but breakfast made up for it ! Great idea doing smaller breakfast option, overall a great place to stay and would definitely consider another mid-week visit if passing through.

Room Tip: Grab a quiet room away from the disco if you are there over the weekend, but there's great craic

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your review on trip adviser.

I was delighted to read your positive comments regarding our food service & great staff. My apologies regarding the fire alarm, unfortunately we will have false alarms from time to time but I believe that the night porter omitted to ring you to explain that it was a false alarm so we have reviewed our fire training procedures.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Prince of Wales.

We stayed on a mid- week night when we got a great deal for BB$Dinner. The reception was friendly and helpful, the bary cosy and the room was very clean with all amenities, including what we thought was a Super kingsize bed. Our meal was included and was a set menu with choices of about 3 starters, main course and desserts. The food was perfectly good and was great value for the cost involved. Breakfast was not self service but cooked to order and was of a very high standard indeed, served in a modern dining room. . We would not hesitate to stay here again and would like to return on a weekend.

We stayed here for one night on the 2nd of September. This is a lovely hotel overall with a good bar, lobby and resturant. Vicki at reception was very friendly and the barstaff, though sometimes overwhelmed, were also very friendly. We ate in the resturant and the meal was quite good. The hotel is very central and there are several good bars in the area.
We had a great stay and would definitely return.

The staff at this hotel are great, from booking, to check in, to ordering food and overall helpfulness. They definitely made the stay for us.

We booked on a living social voucher and had left it quiet close to the expiry but staff where very accommodating. The offer included an evening meal and a bottle of wine. The dinner was lovely, we didn't take the wine and we where offered a different drink instead, I was delighted with this and we didn't expect it at all.

The room was nice and clean, a bit dated but not a problem. The bed was huge! Had everything we needed for a one night stay.

The bar was good craic that evening too, really lively, DJ playing until late (it was a Saturday)

Breakfast the next morning was lovely as well, served until 11pm which was good.

Overall, really enjoyed the stay and would return.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for your review on trip adviser.

I was thrilled to read that our food was of a high standard & that your waiter used his own initiative to offer you an alternative to your wine.

Now that the summer season is over we are starting painting our rooms & a general mini renovation of our rooms.

Again thanks for your kind comments and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Prince of Wales Hotel.
