The live music in Sean's is powerful, good atmosphere always ,and one of the best pints of Guinness in town I think. Love the open fire and if its very busy a lovely open area out back, all in all a fab pub.......

Spent a pleasant evening here with my husband. It was nice to sit back and just watch the crowd. Such a mix! The guinness was lovely and the bar staff pleasant. Would return.

A must visit for the pub lover. Tim is very friendly and helpful bartender. Went to get a map to show me something and he had run out of them. I said I would get some from the castle next door since he was going to help find something for me on the map.

Guinness record holder for Ireland's oldest pub. The front bar is very traditional. Live folk band in the corner when we visited on Saturday. Murphys, Guinness and some generic lagers on tap. Decent price for the stout, but not the cheapest in town. But you go for the atmosphere and the roaring turf on the fire. The back of the bar leads to other areas but you'll want to stay in the front really. Will be back here next time in Athlone
