We stayed in the Wild Honey inn in Oct having seen it on the RTE programme 'At your service'. We have eaten in both Doonbeg and Sheen Falls in the past so we knew we were in for a treat. We had dinner in the bar and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. I had the risotto for starters and my husband had the ham hock and foie gras terrine, both very good, full of flavours and wonderfully cooked. I had wild plaice with bacon, cabbage, carrot and mash – it was divine. My husband had pork belly which had an Asian twist. Again very good with well balanced flavours. We both had deserts to follow which again were sublime. The room was comfortable and we had a great wholesome breakfast the next morning. A very enjoyable stay! I wish Aidan, Kate and family the best of luck in their new venture in these challenging times. They have an excellent formula and I think it will work very well. We can't wait to return!
