This hotel is right in the centre of the action. It has good wholesome food and also has nice vegetarian options on the menu. Very good quick efficient service and staff that like their jobs it shows in the welcoming way they treat their guests. We enjoyed the time we spent in this restaurant and would recommend it to others.

Ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Food brought out to my friend and I was over-cooked. Despite the waitress writing down our order, she had to be reminded that water had been ordered. Toast was brought out before our breakfasts without side plates, not sure where we were expected to butter them... Asked for jam to go with toast and was told only marmalade available, very strange particularly as they also serve scones which are usually accompanied by jam... All in all, bit of a Fawlty Towers experience...

Our party of 6 had a very good dinner there in late Aug. Sorry to see the negative earlier reviews. Someone must have been having a bad day. We thoroughly enjoyed beef and Guiness stew and baked salmon. Our server was pleasant, but was not very quick to bring our check. Not really a problem - this seemed relatively common everywhere we went in Ireland.

Ate here a couple of times. Tasty food. Their crab claws and farmhouse pate are delicious! Nice family run hotel.

At the end of July myself and my girlfriend stopped in Lisdoonvarna for a bite to eat, unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience for the following reasons, the lamp shades in the conservatory area/dining area were covered in dust, the windows were covered in smudge marks inside and dust on the outside. The water jug brought down to our table contained very cloudy water in a dirty jug, which we asked to be changed, however new glasses were not provided. We were not asked once during our meal was everything ok or did we require anything else, the same was also true of the other diners in the restaurant, who were also not asked was everything ok with their meals, a desert menu was not offered.

When my fork fell in front of the waitress I was not offered a clean one, so I just took one from another table. The vinegar was out of date at a few of the tables and no effort was made to remove the out of date vinegar once this had been pointed out. The bathroom was also dirty and it clearly hadn't be given a deep clean in a while, with paint chippings falling from the light fixture and a dirty sink and mirror.

However the sausages and burgers were excellent quality, the salad was ok and the chips were poor. The burger was suppose to come in a bap but it was clearly in a small burger bun. Also you could only pay in cash.
