We booked a 3 hour horse tour with Mountain View for our trip back in September. Our flights were delayed by a full 24 hours going into Dublin due to weather and Peter at Mountain View was so accommodating when I emailed from the airport and asked to reschedule our tour. The day of the our horse trek was rainy. I wouldn't recommend the 3 hour trek when the weather is poor, it was chilly and obviously a bit uncomfortable and due to the cloudy skies we couldn't take advantage of the views from the top of the mountain which was the whole point of the trek. So if you have a rainy day I would suggest requesting a different tour that works better with the weather. However Peter was a wonderful guide and provided overall superb service. He can't be held accountable for the weather. Highly recommend!

We are 4 adult experienced riders. Wherever we go we try to see the countryside astride a horse. Our 3-hour tour in late September with Peter did not disappoint. What a fabulous ride! Our horses were sturdy, comfortable and very willing to take us on a tour of this wild and beautiful area. Peter gave a running commentary on what we saw: famine houses, Aran Islands, Galway Bay, his own horses and cattle in the various pastures. Mom brought a delicious lunch so we kept up our energy for some lovely canters. We rode through typical Irish weather: sun then wind and a bit of rain, back to sunshine. If you wake up to rainy weather, it's likely to clear up by noontime said Peter, and he was right on. Dress for any weather and you will be comfortable. We also really appreciated that Peter offers helmets and chaps so we didn't need to pack those necessities.

Ellen and I had the magical trip of a lifetime (away from our husbands and families, who will join us next time!) Peter was a terrific guide, patient with all my photo taking, wonderful with his horses and possessing the ability to make beginner riders confident while giving experienced riders the opportunity to experience Ireland astride with memories of a lifetime. The views otherwise inaccessible by car or on foot were breathtaking, the camaraderie of each multi-national group was terrific. The food was absolutely scrumptious, thank you Mary Ann!! I'm in my mid-50's - to feel safe, comfortable and grinning like a kid at the end of a ride was glorious! Thank you, so, so very much!

We went on the one hour trek. Amazing scenery, well cared for horses that are not worn out or tired, and just an all around great experience! Peter is great and making sure everyone is comfortable (horse and rider). Did I mention the amazing views?

Will definitely come back if I have the opportunity to visit Ireland again.

We came to Ireland with a group of 8 people and we're looking forward to the horseback riding trip. Upon arrival to Moutain View it was nice to be greeted by such a nice man, Peter and also Rebecca. The grounds were well maintained and the horses were ready and waiting to go. Peter was excellent in explaining the plans to everyone and helping with any questions by those who were less experienced. Peter worked well with pairing different horses to each personality, and all went really well.
The trip itself was 2 hours of amazing sightseeing. Being able to see the Cliffs of Moher and other sites along the way made it all that much better. Both Peter and Rebecca were full of information along the way and informed us of everything along the way.
We were able to trot quickly several times with the horses, which is hard to find a place that will let you. The horses looked great and extremely well cared for.It seemed that each horse was friendlier than the next. I only wish there were more places like this.
