We stayed at Ballinsheen House for two days while we walked and explored the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. What a lovely B&B! It's a short five minute walk from the center of the small town, with little shops and restaurants in very easy walking distance. It's just far enough out, though, to give you the feeling of being away from the bustle, and so it's quite quiet and peaceful. The room was neat, comfortable, peaceful. The beds were very nice to sleep in.

Breakfast was hearty and delicious, the glassed in dining area lovely. Our host, Mary, was thoughtful and helpful with information about the area, and a lift into town when we were leaving with our bags to lug.

There is obviously lots to do; the cliffs are easily accessed by bus or taxi. We walked back down to town via the green roads, which was one of the loveliest walks. Mountain View Riding Center was an excellent way to see the area; the owner of the stables (Peter) is a charming fellow who obviously loves what he does.

I'd recommend the Ballinsheen any day, and I wish I'd had a few more days to enjoy all of what the Burren area has to offer.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the garden is a lovely choice, if available, and you can't hear any road traf...

We stayed here for one night whilst at a tommy tiernan concert. The B&B was very clean, the owner Mary was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. It's only a few minutes walk into the town an ideal location to begin your trip of lisdonvarna from.

This B&B is situated in very pretty grounds just outside the small town of Lisdoonvarna. However, it is only about five minutes or less to a very good pub and other eateries. Our room was spacious and very clean. Although on main road, we had no noise whatsoever. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast copious and very good. Mary was very helpful with her advice re local touring. highly recommended if you are in the area and wanting to go through the Burren. Hint: allow at least a full day - and that is without extensive hiking.

This B&B is well located for your visits to the burren. It's also very close to downdown. Nice clean rooms, good location and an excellent breakfast. This B&B is recommended if you are in the area to visit the burren.

My husband and I had only one night's stay in Lisdoonvarna at the Ballinsheen House. I wish we could have stayed longer in the area as it's quite lovely.
The Ballinsheen House was so very nice--very clean, lovely room, and quiet. Looking at google maps, it makes it seem as if the guesthouse is farther from town than it actually is. It's quite close, a short walk.
We had a delicious breakfast too! If I were in the area, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Mary is a wonderful host!

Room Tip: We had a wonderful room overlooking the street. No noise.
