The house is incredible. Beautiful stone walls, very homely but with modern comforts and interior. Lovely conservatory for breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic. Fresh eggs from the chickens, irish butchers sausages and bacon and home made soda bread. Can't beat it!

Kathleen was a lovely host and very hospitable. Will definitely be going back.

I am usually not the kind of person to feel comfortable at first when I arrive in a new place but I must say Kathleen is such a welcoming person and the B&B such a lovely place that there is no way you cannot feel like at home at Tullyvrick B&B: warn, cosy, peaceful...beautiful house, with an awesome garden full of flowers at the back, cosy rooms, nicely decorated, tidy and clean. Kathleen makes your life easy and sweet during your stay, starting your every day with a delicious home cooked Irish breakfast, providing great tips&tricks for site seeing, place to eat or have a drink. Great place to stay with either family or friends: part of the B&B can even be made private, pubs walking distance, nice walks around, at the heart of Connemara which will be rather easy to discover with a rented car.

I cannot praise this guest house too much. Kathleen went out of her way to make sure we had the most wonderful time and was attentive without being intrusive-a great skill! The rooms are very well appointed an comfy, and the house is a short walk from the restaurants and pubs in the village so you don't need to drive. Oughterard is a lively village with good food and entertainment and there is easy access to the beauty of Connemara and all that Galway has to offer. If you want a comfy and welcoming base to explore this area, don't look any further: you have found an idyllic location.

This was our third trip to Ireland and our second stay in the Galway area. The house and grounds were perfect (the garden in back was very nice) and our hostess, Kathleen Griggs, was very welcoming. Rooms come with access to a kitchen area. Tullyvrick is within 10 walking minutes of dining and shopping in Oughterard and just as close to Lough Corrib. Of course, the Connemara is only a few minutes drive away. If/when we make it back to Oughterard we won't bother looking at any other option.

The house is just great. The guest lounge is very cosy with the turf fire. There is even a guest kitchen, so it is more an appartment than a mere B&B.
Good pub just 10 min walk away.
