“A place with integrity”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

This restaurant was a nice treat after a long day. I got my favourite, which is risotto, and it was great! The owner was a chatty Italian with intergrity who was particular about how his dishes should be made, and wants to give his guests the genuine Italian experience. He seemed to have good control over everything that was being served and made sure everything was done right. He knows what he is doing, as the food tastes great, so this is a place I gladly recommend if you are in the Rathgar area.

“Wonderful Italian experience in Rathgar”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

You could miss Il Divo Restaurant in Rathgar as it's located above Coman's Pub. Following a recommendation from a friend about 5 years ago, my wife and I have frequently visited Il Divo since then. Our first experience was wonderful and we are always drawn back by the lovely Italian food and wine, extremely helpful and friendly management and staff, and a most enjoyable relaxing atmosphere where you can really 'switch off'. It has a lot of tables and there is never any pressure to leave (a welcome feature in Dublin restaurants). The menu offers a quite a lot of choice. It has a very nice range of starter/antipasti dishes (Fried Calamari, Spinach Flan and Risottoi being among my favourites), excellently flavoured pizzas with thin base (I always go for Capriciosa) and pasta dishes (beautiful Ravioli), a very appetising selection of meat and fish dishes (the steaks and lamb cutlets are wonderful), and to finish, a very nice selection of deserts (beautiful Tiramisu and Settivelli al Ciocollato) and coffee. An Early Bird menu is available as well as a Dinner for Two (incl. a half litre of very nice house wine) from the A La Carte menu. In addition, 'specials' are frequently available. It is obvious to us that Il Divo is continually focussed on maintaining and improving standards and ensuring that its customers have an enjoyable and memorable experience - a little bit of Italy in Rathgar! Well done all round.

“Excellent And Real Italian Restaurant.”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

Warm And Friendly Atmosphere, Italian Staff , Italian Chefs and Italian Recepies cook to perfection and passion. I had Linguine with Astice , to die for ! My wife had mushroom Ravioli with truffle sauce pure perfection ! The Wine was real Pinot Grigio imported directly from Italy not from Superquinn. My Daughter had pizza , Margherita with ham really tasty. I will go back.
