WOW. Fantastic break. For years we have looked at this facility and admired the setup. Rent a house complete with small cruiser on the Shannon. The manageress (Madge) was very friendly and efficient with me on the phone. We spent the May bank holiday weekend 2013 there. We were a party of 6 adults. The house was very spacious. 3 bedrooms (2 twins & a double) The kitchen was complete with all mod cons (yes - even a dishwasher). Bedrooms were fine size, particularly the double complete with ensuite.

We were given full instruction by the boatman (Michael) on the cruiser before we set off on our cruiser. The boat is very easy to handle and comes with a nice size enclosed cabin, just in case the weather changes. Pure magic to be cruising the mighty River Shannon.

I'm a bit fussy, but I can honestly say that I could not fault this facility at all. Would I go back? Don't be silly, I'm just looking for the next opportunity to pick up the phone to make a reservation.

A tranquil spot on the upper Shannon. The house was very spacious & the staff helpful & accommodating. Leitrim village is very quiet but has some great bars, Donellan's - an immaculately kept traditional Irish bar (great Guinness!) & The Barge - great steaks. The boat we had (Justine) took us down to Carrick-on-Shannon, the Boyle river & up through the locks (courtesy of Paddy the lock-keeper) to the beautiful Lough Allen for a spot of fishing. The town of Drumshambo is a few minutes walk from Lough Allen & has plenty of bars & eateries to keep a thirsty fisherman happy!. Thanks to Mike & Ann at the Quay for looking after us on out all too brief stay.

Leitrim Quay is a beautiful quiet place for a holiday. The houses are clean and well kept. I was delighted to find tea and milk and biscuits in the house when we arrived - it's the little details that count! Each house comes with a garden, perfect for lunch outside if you get a good day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Leitrim village is a beautiful little place, with a couple of good pubs for the evening.

Highly recommended, 5 stars!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

Just home from another great holiday at Leitrim Quay. An ideal place whether you want to just chill or to partake in the numerous activities around such as riding, golf, paint balling, fishing etc. Houses are clean and comfortable and staff are extremely helpful. If you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of nearby establishments serving delicious food at reasonable prices. Have already booked again for next year
