This place is wonderful. It's in a very peaceful and beautiful setting. You can just imagine WBYeats and family wandering round the quiet roads and woods and writing his plays and poems. It is just a pity the tower is not open to the public at the moment due to flood damage

Yup, it was still closed in May 2014. It looked like it could open … but who knows? It was very scenic and should be worth a good hour or so to visit, but it was a long way down narrow roads and was not worth the journey. No toilets or refreshments anywhere near.

It seems like the flood damage was done a few years ago … it's surprising that it has not yet been repaired. Suggestion: wait until the flood damage is fixed … Discover Ireland still shows it as being closed (July 2014).

Remote and charming, unfortunately the tower is closed (thus the 4 rating), but the grounds are lovely and make for a wonderful stop in the Irish countryside. One can see why Yeats made this his home and his inspiration.

Still seems to be closed, but you can walk around the outside. Locked up and no toilets available. No other information given. You really have to want to see the structure to spend the time getting to it.
