I could not find fault with this Hotel. It's new and decorated to a very high standard, with extremely comfortable beds as well. We ate in the Hotel Restaurant one evening and found the food and and staff to be a credit to the Hotel.

Great value for money.

Just back from a weekend break in the new Loughrea Hotel and Spa it was really lovely, the hotel is new the bedrooms are lovely really large , the beds were the best beds I have ever stayed in. The staff were very freindly and very welcoming. The Spa is yet to open but I am looking forward to going back their to enjoy it. We had a meal in the bar on the Friday night and it was Fresh and really good food, with great service. We had dinner in the Abbey restaurant on the Saturday and again we were delighted with it. 10 out of 10 to Loughrea hotel and spa. keep up the good work.

Brand new 4 star hotel just outside Loughrea town. Went here for a meal with friends and v disappointed. Very poorly trained waiters who do not know even the basics of their job. Chips we had with main course were so soggy they were inedible and a breast of chicken v dry and overcooked. Mentioned this to the waiter who said to me "i find that hard to believe"! What great customer care. The hotel itself is nice but has no pool which is a great disappointment for anyone staying here - there is no public pool in the town so not much for the kids to do if it's raining.

This is a new hotel and has only been opened about 3 weeks. The spa was not open at all and is not due to be open till Monday 19th August.
The staff were outstandingly helpful and cheerful Nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms as you should expect for a new hotel were immaculate however......
The bathrooms were very dark even with all the lights on and the extractor fans were so noisey. If you like to close your eyes and relax in the bath you can forget it as the noise will drive you binkers.
The carpets in the general areas looked like they had not been hoovered for a number of days and if they wish to retain the 4 stars they need to look at this detail. Same in the rooms, ensuring all areas arew dusted and cleaned. I guess a lot of dust is still from the building going on.
The beds were extremely comfortable.
Breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice of hot and cold food. Bacon was just how I like it. Thick cut and not smoked.
We stayed a number of nights and the evening menu never changed the choice not being that great so I would imagine you could not eat there for more than 2 or 3 nights without being bored.
This hotel has the makings of being a first class hotel, not quite there yet.
