“Such a pretty little church!”

The swans on the door is such a beautiful intro into the church as it reminds me so much of the Children of Liar. I use to come here before my confirmation in primary school and we use to write little notes of our worries into a wee box on the right hand corner of the church which brings back good memories. I brought my cousin from Austraila here recently this year and the church was just beautiful as ever. I hope to come back here again someday!

It really is worth stopping here, even if for just 10 minutes. Beautiful setting, with the grave of W.B Yeats to the left of the church door, under the shadow of Benbulben.
The church also has little booklets on Yeats which are very informative. There's no harm bringing a bit of literature into a holiday!

We should have stopped here for a meal as there was so much to see at the church and then the little cafe was so busy you knew they are on to a winner...Wondeful historic place, make the time to stop

Beside the heavily trodden sod at Yeats grave, this little chapel is worth a visit.Take loads of digital pics as the many historical inscriptions will take time to read. One of the few protestant chapels that welcome tourists. Could benefit greatly by having some organ music or gregorian chants playing in the background. The views out back are breath taking.Little wonder Yeats chose to rest his weary head nearby.Leave a small donation as you exit.Every little helps.
