We arrived quite late after an unexpected afternoon in the emergency room. We hadn't eaten, so Ian cooked up a plate of eggs and a full carafe of coffee. A wonderful welcome. I wish we'd had more time to spend in the area (and at the B & B) and hope to revisit sometime in the future.
My husband and I stayed at the Benbulben Farm B&B in September 2013. We found it to be a very relaxing place to stay, with a homey atmosphere. The windows have some of the most amazing view's of Benbulben, the water front and farms near by. The host and hostess are two of the most inviting people you could hope to meet and their food is delicious. If we ever have the opportunity to go there again, I am sure we will make a reservation at this B&B.
In any way shape or form, service was brill, room was lovely very spaceious and with a view that without cloud leaves you breath taken. the fittings in the room are of the highest quality nothing has been spared. the full irish that was offer wow def worth it keeps you going all day. If your in sligo you have to stay here its so relaxing and peaceful. A fantastic 2 night stay. Thanks benbulben farm!!!!
Unfortunately we could only stay one night as we were enroute to the Derry Fleadh, perhaps next year's stay during the Sligo Fleadh will be longer so that we can enjoy the beauty and peace of this gem. Ian and Rita are warm, friendly, excellent hosts!
We only stayed one night and then went on towards the county connemara. Rita welcomed us in the evening and showed us the magnificent room with equally amazing bathroom. But the most fantastic bit of the stay was the breakfast. Rita is an amazing host! You have the choice among others salmon and scrambled eggs. It was delicious!
Moreover, the views around the b&b are amazing. Unfortunately when we woke up benbulben mountain was covered in fog.
The area is amazing, you can climb the mountain but moreover this place is ideal to go to Slieve League. Next time I will spend more time in the area so that is what i can recommend to you.
A beautiful house, everything recent, modern and clean, very nice people. The mountain nearby is of stunning beauty. I too warmly recommend the stay at this place. What could be improved? A Wi-Fi Extender could help bring Internet to the farthest room and a better organization to stay reachable at all time (It took many calls and a long time until the tourist information office reached them to book us in).
