Baltimore is a little bit of heaven. The ocean, the peace, lovely place.
The hotel was wonderful, the food superb, the proprietors most accomodating.
Here's the rub. They fail to mention that the Traditional Irish Music will blare through the hotel until the wee hours, or that the hotel/ pub's entrance is right below the bedroom windows and that if you are in a room on the lobby side, smoking, talking, laughing, singing, radios in cars, etc.,, will keep you awake most of the night. If you are on the Ocean side, the Beer Garden will do that. The problem on the lobby side wasn't from residents, it was from casual patrons. A little more respect, or perhaps a sign reminding folks where they are would be appropriate.
Facing a six hour drive when you've had two or three hours of broken sleep isn't safe and that is what we were faced with.
I think the website should be more clear about that and that hoteliers in Ireland might want to be aware that not everyone drinks, some folks come to relax and recharge.
Unfortunately, that was truly the only low point of a delightful stay, but it so overshadows the rest that we will likely not return.

Just arrived back after spending the weekend in Caseys of Baltimore.
The staff, service and room were excellent. I would advise anybody wishing to stay here to be aware of the following.
Facing the car park is the bar which has live music on twice a week, that is good, but if you have a room facing the car park or on the side facing the main road forget about getting a good nights sleep. We complained to the owner who just said yes. Last night for example a car pulled into the car park at 3.02am with music very loud and nothing was done about it. I will not return and would recommend any person wishing to stay there to think again. Better hotels in the town.

Stayed midweek for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome, by friendly and attentive staff. We had a evening meal on both nights of our stay, and it was most enjoyable with hearty portions of fresh seafood dishes. There is traditional music in the bar Saturday and Monday nights. Breakfast is both delicious and filling, I had fresh mackerel one morning excellent. All rooms are spacious with most looking onto the bay.

We stayed here in 2006 and I have to say the hotel is spotless and the room we got was perfect. I had requested a good room with excellent views as my partner had never been to west of Ireland and I had not been for many years.

We had a great time, the breakfast was fantastic, the music great, the bar staff friendly. I found dinner to be expensive and not of good standard compared to other places in baltimore.

I have to say I would stay here again without a doubt. I found the lady who owned caseys to be unfriendly, she never seemed to smile!

It is expensive and I hope caseys do not get to greedy with their prices and let standards slip like Rolfs have done.

I never actually stayed at Caseys, my partner and I stopped in for a bite before Skuba diving.
The staff were polite and attentive and as soon as our bums hit the seats, we had fresh Irish bread and butter plus a jug of chilled water with lemon.
The hotel has a section for diners to eat outside and take in the view, but as the weather wasn't too warm, we decided to sit near the window.
The scampi was the best I've ever tasted - the outer coating melted away in your mouth - yum!
The waitress was fantastic, even when those seated next to us demanded bigger glasses, larger portions, to turn up the music etc, she went out of her way to accommodate.
This place is a little gem tucked away near the coast and Il definately be stopping in when next Skuba diving!

We have just returned from a weekend in baltimore, and simply had to take the time to write to say what a thoroughly enjoyable stay we had at caseys of baltimore. The food was brilliant, especially the homemade soda bread and scones. The staff made you feel very welcome at all times, and the room was lovely with views to the sea. We could not fault this hotel and cant wait to go again.

Great hotel, set in a gorgeous little fishing village that is well worth a visit! Our room was really spacious, with an extra large comfortable bed. It was modern, clean and warm, with a good bathroom too. We ate dinner in the restaurant (really nice!) and breakfast the next morning was also delcious - with lovely see views also. The village of Baltimore is well worth exploring, and take a drive up the hill to experience some nice views. The staff at this hotel were friendly and I would definitely recommended this hotel to everyone!
