We decided to wait to find a place until we got to Count Cork.. As was sat for a pint after the Jameson tour, we found this fantastic little hotel. Very hospitable, very clean and very convenient. The room was immaculate and decorated in very good taste.. Very roomy for us. The staff was very friendly and didn't think twice to help us with our Ireland touring... Lots of great information and history! We highly recommend this little hotel.. A most excellent find!!

Great View, good size room and bathroom, Room 16, heated towel rack.
Dated chair in room. Very warm so we opened sea view window, fans from restaurant directly adjacent, noise and aroma came into room. Middle of night, staff, I assume, cleaning up and breaking bottles into garbage. Would ask for a different room next time. Staff at front desk very helpful. Location great for walking around. Not much happening in Cobh though.

Room Tip: Not room 16 if you want to open windows.

My wife and I had already planned and booked a break in Cork when I saw a voucher deal for the WatersEdge Hotel. I purchased a two night stay that allowed us to extend our stay in Cork.
From the moment we arrived we felt entirely at home. The room was beautifully sunlit, cosy and spotlessly clean.
The views were stunning. The location was perfect, at the edge of the town too, so we were not disturbed by traffic. Restaurants and bars were within easy reach. We enjoyed relaxing in the hotel bar. The Heritage Centre was very interesting and only 2 minutes away.
Each member of staff ensured that we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was cooked to order and the quality and service was exceptional and memorable.
We would recommend the WatersEdge for a relaxing break: we aer still talking about how good it is. Many thanks to each member of staff for their friendly professionalism.

We arrived on a wet and cold February evening to be greeted by a cosy fire in the hearth, and a smiling face behind the desk. There is limited free underground parking and we were lucky enough to get a space. Otherwise it’s ‘pay’ parking on the roadway outside. Check-in was prompt and we got a great room on the ground floor (complete with balcony) overlooking Cobh Harbour. As we were using an online GrabOne deal we never expected to get a room like this. It was just beautiful, clean and cosy and we felt right at home. The bathroom was stocked with everything we needed and had a lovely hot towel rail …we felt totally spoiled. We dined in the Hotel’s Restaurant, Jacobs Ladder, which is the subject of a separate review. Our bed was big and comfy and we had a very good night’s sleep, a terrific refreshing shower in the morning followed by a delicious freshly cooked breakfast before setting off. There’s just one small thing – the rooms at balcony level would benefit from some sort of sheer curtain as once the heavy curtains are opened, you can see right out, and any guests using the balcony can see right in. Somebody did walk past window as we were getting dressed so we had to close the heavy curtains and turn on the light – not ideal when the sun is shining outside and there’s a beautiful view of Cobh Harbour out there! Having said that we would go back in a heartbeat, the place was so lovely and is one of those little gems you could across from time to time. Customer service and hospitality is top class. The hotel is also very wheel-chair friendly and accessible to those who are less able-bodied.

I've got a Groupon voucher for 2 nights in this hotel. We arrived on a rainy day but we found a warm reception and a very friendly staff. The hotel is small,a little bit "rusty" but very clean rooms with everything you need. The breakfast is a mix of buffet and a la cart, good...but everyday the same. All in one our stay was pleasant but on full price( not on voucher discount) I would say is a little bit pricy.

Spent I night here on a Grabone voucher. The Hotel was a welcome surprise. They have pleasant, welcoming, and helpful staff. Had a lovely seaview room, with all mod cons. The overall ambience is one of comfort, and effortless hospitality. Both dinner and breakfast were generous ,and of top quality. This place punches way above it's weight. Well done to all concerned.

Wonderful! And what a setting - pull open the bedroom curtain in the morning and you would imagine you are at sea. The broad expanse of the River Lee lies before you. The hotel name is fully deserved. Cruise liners anchor close by during the season.
If travelling by train, as we were, no need for a taxi, just a 200 yard walk down hill. This is a small, family owned hotel, and there is a real home from home feel to it. Staff are very friendly and genuinely interested in you.
Rooms are immaculate, meals are lovely. We ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay. Breakfast is freshly cooked. To repeat - a wee gem!

Room Tip: Any room facing the river.
