We booked on line on the day of travel. Expecting a sea view and were changed to one when we asked when in fact we were originally given a stone wall to look at. The staff both reception and in the dining room were charming and made our stay so much better.. The room was clean, well decorated and had a lovely view of the harbour. which we enjoyed.

We were on a D,BnB deal and so had dinner in the Jacob's Ladder Restaurant. Starters Smoked Fish Chowder was very good (though could perhaps have been improved with a few more shell fish) The chicken liver pate was a little bland but the plum sauce was very plummy and rather good. These we followed with A burger, not bad and baked cod with a white wine and cream sauce which I had with salad and fries (the veg option of swede and carrot didn't appeal with fish for me). The fish was decorated with Balsamic vinegar which seemed an unlikely garnish for a fish with white wine sauce. The fish was a little over cooked but quite tasty. I was greedy enough to round it off with Banoffi Pie which had been smothered with icing sugar as decorationThis drenching in icing sugar is sadly one of my bette noirs as why make a balanced dish unbalanced with added sweetening. They clearly get carried away with the icing sugar as it was there again on the plain breakfast croissants in the morning, which was a shame as breakfast scored rather higher than sometimes. My husband rates the scrambled egg and sausage everywhere we stay overnight, out of 10 The breakfast here had the best score of our stay.

Great location. Clean rooms, lovely staff. Nearly very good.

Room Tip: Sea view good , can watch the ferries hear the sea on the rocks.

the rooms on the harbor have wonderful views. ask for one on the first floor as they have a balcony right on the water. the food was good as was the service. breakfast was very efficient. the only drawbacks to my room on the second floor was there is no elevator and the room was very stuffy even with the window being on the harbor side.

We've just returned from a family reunion in Cobh and all stayed at the WatersEdge where we had a delightful stay. My husband and I had the perfect room overlooking the harbour, with the cruise ships docked literally outside our window we felt it just added to the ambiance! On Sunday with the gorgeous weather we could enjoy the yatch racing. The Staff at the hotel were absolutely charming, efficient and helpful. We had breakfast both mornings and on the Saturday evening my family took over the restaurant, 34 of us! The food was basic but good and service even better. We would definately return.

I stayed here for 1 night on business recently. My business was in Cork City but chose Cobh as had never stayed there and wanted to see it. The Hotel is easy to find with an Underground free Car Park.
Check in was easy, room was nice and overlooking the sea. Town is a 2 minute walk so very handy. I did not eat or drink at the Hotel so cannot comment.
When i woke the next morning to find a Cruise ship had docked outside, I was pleasantly surprised. However, if your looking for a lie in, best of luck, as the Cruise Ships docking are very noisy.
Breakfast was average and check out efficient.

Room Tip: Ask for a Room at the water front.

We stayed here twice before, its overlooking the sea. Watch ferries coming and going,
Cruse ships may dock next to the hotel. Excellent location for town, including the heritage centre which is worth a visit. This hotel is easy to find by the waterfront with underground parking. Going back to the hotel this Thursday for weekend stay, Hope it will be as good as the last 2 times.
