My visit to the Titanic Experience, Cobh, was a very pleasant one indeed. Before ever purchasing the tickets we had such an interesting chat. Our guide was super-efficient and made us welcome and explained clearly what was about to take place. Our tickets assigned a passenger name to us and we were asked to remember the name and find out at the end whether we "survived" or not. A short video explained what it was like joining the Titanic on its maiden and indeed final voyage. We were assigned to lifeboat number 7, the first one launched when the Titanic hit the iceberg. We saw a view of the harbour just as if we were embarking 101 years ago. When we struck the rock we were escorted to our lifeboat and "saved" There followed many items of information and an interesting video - our guide had warned us not to miss it.!
I will certainly be taking all future visitors to see/experience what we saw and experienced.
