We had a GREAT experience with Olive and her beautiful home in Cobh. This is our first trip where we took advantage of B&B's and fell in love with the great service and home atmosphere! Olive fixes a delicious breakfast in an elegant dining room, offers guests a place to stretch and watch the news before turning in from an adventuresome day. The views from the garden area are wonderful and I'm sure the next time we're in Cobh, this will be the first place we will reserve a spot! Thanks Olive for being such a lovely host and providing us with a great ensuite!

This is the perfect house to stay in, when you visit this historical town. Drive through the gate and feel the gardens beckon you. As the birds serenade you from the many trees, ring the charming doorbell, and be greeted by the loveliest of innkeepers, Olive O'Brien. Step inside the original door, and step into grandeur from a different era that has been magnificently preserved and restored. Then, after you have realized the view of the sea from the bay window, take a short stroll down from the house where you'll find a lovely walkway along the harbor right into the town center. Ask Olive where to find the best dining experiences and entertainment, and you will not be disappointed. Then after a comfortable night's rest, allow yourself to feel like royalty as you breakfast in the formal dining room. But for some pleasant conversation, ask Olive to join you. Tip: If you are tired of the Full Irish Breakfast every where you travel, ask her for some nice Irish cheese and fruit instead. She will be happy to accomodate. I highly recommend Elmville. I came for a day, and decided I needed more, so I stayed for a week! And I will definitely go back again.

Wonderful room, great breakfast and one of the most hospitable innkeepers we have encountered. Olive and her home were the accomodation highlight of our ten day trip and her reccomendations for dinner and trad session were spot on as well.

Olive was very warm and charming, she had all the places that were of interest to see marked out on the local map (only a short distance from town) for us on our arrival. Her recommendation for fine dining was just as she described, delicious!
Her home is really comfortable and she is so easy to talk too. The breakfast was wonderful, served in her magnificent dining room next to a warm fire with soft background music.
It was a great experience and we highly recommend staying with Olive at Elmville.

Olive was a wonderful hostess. It was very easy to find and wonderful views. A short pleasant walk to downtown Cobh. Quiet clean rooms and comfortable bed. Nice formal setting. Excellent traditional Irish breakfast! Unfortunately it was cash only and no credit.

Elmville House is a beautiful home with a views of the ocean and close to shops and restaurants.
What makes it especially warm and inviting is Olive. We were travelling from Canada with my 76 year old mother and Olive made us feel right at home. The place is spotless, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant!

A lovely down-to-earth and warm welcome from our host Olive - comfortable, clean rooms and a breakfast to beat the band - highly recommended! The poor rating for swimming pool/fitness centre is simply because there isn't any!
