Cobh Cathedral, otherwise known as St Colmans. We first saw this church entering Cobh harbour aboard our cruise ship. It is an amazing structure 150 years old and taking 50 years to complete. Tourists are welcomed and interior photos are permitted just as long as there is no ongoing mass. During busy periods there are volunteer guides who are there to answer any of your questions.

It is a hard walk up the hill to the Cathedral, but well worth it. Beautiful Alter and interior and the views of the harbour from it is wonderful!

When you first see this cathedral up the hill, if it seems like it's gonna be quite a bit of climbing but it's actually not that bad at all. And when you get up there, the reward is not only this stunning structure but also the sweeping views of the area. Definitely a must visit in Cobh

This was the first church we saw on our trip to Ireland and it was not a disappointment. The only other church we visited that compared to this was Saint Fin Barr's Cathedral in Cork.
