I live near Cobh but have never seen it so busy as it was this week. There were throngs of visitors and most of them seemed to visit the cathedral. I am not surprised as it is a magnificent building with beautiful architecture (Pugin if I recall correctly?) and so many magnificent stain glass windows that it was quite difficult to take it al in.

You can not miss this cathedral as it stands out in Cobh, but you have to go visit the inside chapel as it is absolutely stunning. On my visit we had a choir who were top class.

Absolutely beautiful!!! I was awe struck by the beauty of the Cathedral. When you drive into Cobh you see the Cathedral on the hill and you are drawn to it - going inside is so beautiful.

A place where most of the catholic Irish emigree visited before moving from their Irish Island to Ellis Island.
Beautiful vaulted ceilings, stained windows, wood pulpit and mosaic.
Steep climb but has nice view of the Cobh harbor from above.
