This was my first time staying at Dromcloc house, but my travel companions 4th or 5th. He couldn't say enough good things about the house, Mrs. Crowley, Johnny, and Bantry in general. I trust him but was very pleased to find out he was completely right! The house and property is beautiful, very clean and well kept, with 2 very friendly dogs. Mrs. Crowley and Johnny are two of the nicest people you could every hope to meet and very attentive to your needs, while keeping a reasonable distance. It only took a few minutes to drive into town. Best of all, breakfast was delicious!

I've already been recommended Dromcloc to people I know that want to travel to Ireland and am very much looking forward to when I can return.

From the dog won't you rub my belly welcome to the scenery of the Bantry Bay to Mrs. Crowley giving you warm fresh from the oven scones & hot tea by the picture window Dromcloc is unique. You feel like you've been to the family reunion with out the irritating aunt showing up!! Her husband is just as nice and the 5th generation son will be glad to let you observe the 40 car milking procedure at the barn. Overall the visit was very nice.

Spent 3 nights in October 2010 @ the Dromcloc House. It wasn't enough time. The first neat thing is to FIND Dromcloc House, followed by meeting Dympna. If one doesn't like the whole atmosphere surrounding this gem of a B & B (the view, food, fresh air, tranquillity), then consider yourself clinically brain-dead. And if this place doesn't make you feel right at home, then the two dogs Bisquit & Wally will. I'll challenge anybody to look out of the window in the breakfest room in the morning at those two happy faces and not think that you've won the "feel good" lottery. Kudo's to the Crowley's.

Somtimes hard to chose from a guide book and the internet but both TripAdvisor and B&B Ireland book recommended so we booked - and it was perfect. Away from the madding crowd - yet near the restaurants of Bantry. Fabulous view over fields and sea. Warm welcome and full breakfast. Mr and Mrs Crowley were charming. Don't miss the walk down to the sea. A little gem

This is an excellent place to relax and see the Bantry area at your own pace. It is not glamorous
but the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and modern showers in the room. We had a great view of Bantry Bay from our room. The grounds are beautiful and are surrounded by the bay on 3 sides.
The hosts make it seem like you are staying at the home of an Irish family and are helpful in anyway they can be. With the hearty breakfast this is an
exceptional value. We stayed 3 nights in Sept. 2010 and would make it a point to stay there again.
If your are intersted in local Irish history this is the place!

Staying at Dromcloc House is a unique, magical experience. There's a simplicity about the place which continues to grow on you the longer you stay; and this isn't just because of the stunning location. Dymphna and Johnny have been running Dromcloc for a long time and every guest is made to feel special. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are good. Johnny is a mine of information; he told us a lot about the folk history of the area and is a great storyteller! The farm dogs, Wally and Biscuit will take you for a walk down to the shoreline or you can set off across the wonderful Sheep's Head Peninsula with amazing views all day .

In all respect our four night stay at Dromcloc House was a very nice experience. The warm welcome and the excellent accomodation made us feel relaxed and in very good mode. Many many thanks to you mr. and mrs Crowley! We certainly would highly recommend Dromcloc House as an excellent B&B located at the breathtaking west coast of Ireland. There it is. The nature with its spectacular scenery. The mountains and the extensive beaches and surprisingly warm Atlantic ocean. The céilidh at Eccles Hotel in Glengariff. The Bridge bar at Portmagee with the delicious sea trout. The walkabouts. You could just walk about for days and days. On top of that having the luxury of coming home climbing into a fresh made bed and wake up for a home made breakfast. What more is there to wish? Ireland is beautiful and the irish are very friendly, most helpful and do have a good sense of humour. We love you...

Best wishes!
