We have travelled fairly extensively in Ireland over the past few years, and I can say that without doubt, "Ard Na Greine" is the best we have ever stayed in. Perrfect surroundings, charming hosts. Cannot be faulted.

We stayed there for a couple of nights and can gladly recommend this place to fellow travelers. The "Ard na Greine" B&B is situated in a convenient and beautiful location right near Bantry. Its charming hosts made the place spotless clean, cozy and comfortable. It's a true pleasure to sleep in the silence of the trees, wake up there in the morning to the birds singing and have your breakfast overlooking the lovely landscaped garden.

By the start of the second week of our honeymoon, my wife and I had encountered mixed results (see my other reviews of White Lodge in Cork, the Celtic House in Killkenny, and Dunroven in Waterford, Sea Breeze in Cahersiveen, and Algret House in Killarney).

Ard Na Greine wiped the slate of the previous negative experiences and lived up to everything we'd hoped for in coming to Ireland - perfectly representing even the idealized version of what we wanted from a B&B: beautiful views over manicured gardens, a private balcony for enjoying the serenity (only broken by the occasional bleat of a sheep or neigh of a horse in the distance), extremely well-appointed accommodations in a *beautiful*, well-cared for home, and an utterly charming hostess. And then there was Jack, the family dog who, to put it mildly, was a character in his own right. We actually cancelled our plans for travelling about on the second day of our stay just to relax and enjoy the peace of the place, lounging about and reading a book on the balcony. It's only two minutes from Bantry town, so it works well as a base of operations for Bantry or the Ring of Kerry, but serene enough to offer pure relaxation.

Bantry itself was a lovely town - a true surprise, to be honest- and we could have easily spent a week there, enjoying the comfort and welcome we found at Ard Na Greine. Recommended with the strongest endorsement!

I stayed here 3 wonderful nights in august 2007. this is a charming and top notch b and b. This home is convienent to various attractions and the rooms are exceptionally clean, quiet, roomy, comfortable. The breakfasts are absolutely devine. It was so good words cannot describe it. This breakfast was like a 4 course lunch and we could not think about lunch until 4pm.

If you are an avid gardener like myself the grounds are just as appealing as the food and lodging. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed in this beb and breakfast for 2 nights during the easter bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. This b&b is about a mile from bantry town on the glengariff road. on arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner Mrs. Foley who advised us on where to eat and where to visit. we had only intended to stay for one night but we enjoyed it so much we stayed for another night. breakfast was top class and we were woken to the sounds of birds singing which was very peaceful.

i would highly recommend this b&b and will definately be back.
