4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We ate here for lunch on the August weekend. We took two of the pizzas as been a brick oven we taught this should be nice and we were not disappointing. It was actually nicer that we taught.
the pizza is as nice as we had on Lake garda. the other peoples food looked delicious also so the next time we go to Bantry we will definitely be back to sample some more

“Really nice food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Walked in without reservation and accommodated immediately.Staff very nice but not enough of them and rushed off their feet!!!! I had duck salad and mushroom risotto with cod which was fab and had no room for dessert! My husband had minestrone soup which was average and the sole. They had run out of gratin potatoes for him and were to get him replacement but after over 5mins he had to go and ask for it. He then had banoffi which he thought was ok. Overall good value, comfortable restaurant, good menu. Staff nice and friendly.

“Go there!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Fantastic venue, warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly, the food was amazing and the live musicians were colourful and full of character.
It's child friendly, there's a great wine selection and I cannot stress enough how great the food was!
If you're in Bantry the Brick Oven is a must, we went there every night of our trip.

“Best chowder on the planet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

We came across this gem of a restaurant on a day trip to Bantry. The service was excellent and the staff friendly despite being rushed off their feet, but it was the food that really stood out. I had a seafood chowder packed with salmon, prawns and a white fish (probably monkfish) that beat any chowder I've tasted hands down. My wife, who's not a big fish eater, was in seventh heaven with a vegetarian pizza cooked in the eponymous oak-fired brick oven. Worth a return trip to Bantry!

We have just spent a couple of evenings in Bantry, with the Brick Oven at the heart of our partying, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, the music and atmosphere was brilliant and the hosts were accommodating and friendly throughout. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!
