We had an excellent dinner on a Wednesday night in June.
Reservations were made for us on the same day by the Bantry House. The restaurant was not full while we were there so reservations may not be required.
The Fish Kitchen is small, the service is prompt and friendly. I would call it upscale casual. The decor consists of stone walls, wood floors, orange accents, wooden chairs. The day's fish are listed on a chalkboard.
The highlight of our meal was my main course of brill with capers. It had a light batter on it and was cooked quickly at a high heat giving it a crunchy bottom. It was perfectly prepared and very fresh.
My teenage daughter doesn't really like fish but she found things on the menu that she liked. She also sampled my brill and really liked it.
Diners were a mix of locals and travelers.
